Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Coco is a 9 year old chocolate working type cocker. His owners have just had a baby and Coco has not taken well to the changes that have taken place. He is demanding attention from anyone who enters the home and has started chewing things again if left home alone. Coco is used to older children. He is good with other dogs that he meets on walks and he has lived with a cat. He pulls on the lead but really enjoys his walks. His owners use a harness or halti lead and he walks better with this. He is very good when off lead. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Diesel is a 5 1/2 year old liver & white springer. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is a brilliant dog with a very calm personality. He is used to children but likes to distance himself from younger ones. He is good with other dogs and has lived with another dog. He has no cat experience. He pulls on the lead especially when excited about going for a walk. He is good when off lead. He hasn't travelled much by car and can be left for short periods.
Luna is a 2 year old Black and White Springer. Her owner is now unable to give her the walks that she needs. Luna has not been socialised with children. She is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. She suffers with bad separation anxiety and possibly needs to be homed with another dog. Luna barks and is destructive if left home alone. She sleeps in her basket in the bedroom. She pulls a lot on the lead, but her recall is reasonable if you have a treat to offer. She travels well in the car.
Ginger is a 3 year old Cocker who may be part Setter and Reggie is a 2 year old Cocker who is Ginger's son. Reggie's mum is a Black show type Cocker. Both father and son are Ginger coloured and are looking for a new home together as they are very bonded. The dogs used to live in Spain, but now need a new home due to a change in circumstances. They have had no contact with children and have no cat experience. They are good with other dogs. Both have quite nervous personalities, especially Reggie, who can bark when meeting people for the first time. Both pull on the lead and need training for off-lead exercise. They travel well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Cooper is an 18 month old Liver and White Springer. His owner is unable to give him the time and attention that he deserves due to work commitments. We are looking for a special home for Cooper as he has detached retinas and he has very little sight. He has been referred to an eye specialist and nothing can be done. He hasn't lived with children, but has been looked after by a friend with two children and he was fine with them. He has no cat experience. He is good with other dogs and is a little submissive to them. He has been to doggy day care and enjoyed it. He needs to be homed with another dog. Cooper pulls a bit on the lead, but has excellent recall. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Lillie is an 8 year old black & white springer. At present Lillie is living with the owner's Mum as the owner's other dog kept attacking Lillie. However, Mum already has two dogs, one of which is elderly and Lillie is too bouncy to manage. Lillie is a very loving dog who is excellent with children. She has no cat experience. She still pulls on the lead. She hasn't been off lead recently but was OK when living with the owner. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
