Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

SID

SID

Sid is a 18 month old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home as one of his owners is working away from home and the other is a full-time carer. They don't have time to carry on with his training. Sid is good with the couple's young grand-daughter, but can knock her over. He is used to other dogs, but has no cat experience. He can pull on the lead with excitement and his recall is already quite good, but he can suffer with selective deafness if he picks up a scent. He travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.

JESS

JESS

Jess is almost 7 years old and is a liver & white springer. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances which means that she is required to be home alone for long periods of time. Jess is looking for a quiet household and is used to being the only dog. She has quite a timid personality and doesn't like fireworks. She has lived with a cat in the past. She is used to older children and she is good when meeting other dogs when on walks. She pulls a bit with excitement when on the lead and likes to chase birds. She is very good when off lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

BRONTE

BRONTE

Bronte is a 6 1/2 year old gold & white show type cocker who suffers with separation anxiety and howls and cries when left home alone. She is used to older children and is wary of people until she gains their trust. She has lived with a cat and is friendly towards other dogs. She is good on or off the lead and she travels well in the car.

MILO

MILO

Milo is almost 5 years old and is a golden cocker who is part show type and part working type. His owners are foster carers and are now looking after babies who need the floor space for crawling. Milo is being looked after by the owners' parents but they can't keep him long term. Milo is good with children but boisterous. He is used to other dogs and has lived with a cat. He can be a little possessive with his own toys. He is good on the lead and fine off-lead and won't loose you. He travels well in the car in a travel crate. He can howl sometimes if left home alone too long.

WEY

WEY

Wey is a 7 year old black working type cocker with a white chest. His owner has had a bad accident and is unsure when he will be walking again so he cannot look after Wey in the manor he deserves. Wey is used to children. He has also lived with a cat. When off lead he is quite good unless he finds another dog who will play with him. He pulls on the lead initially and then calms down. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

HECTOR (was Hunter)

HECTOR (was Hunter)

Hunter is a 16 month old golden working type cocker. His owners can no longer manage to give him enough exercise and activity due to health problems. Hunter is a very friendly young dog who is very boisterous. He jumps up at people constantly for attention and barks at the couple if he wants to play. He is used to children and other dogs but has no cat experience. He is quite good on the lead but his owners have never let him off lead. His recall will need training. He can be left for very short periods but his owners are retired so he has had plenty of company. Also, they don't drive so he has no experience of travelling.
