Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

LEO (was Loki)

LEO (was Loki)

Loki is a 12 month old dark liver & white Spaniel X. He has come to CAESSR via another local rescue so that we could find him an appropriate spaniel home. He has already had 3 homes with people who didn't understand the breed and their energy levels. He is quite a vocal dog who pulls on the lead. Loki has been with foster carers for a few days and he socialized well with their dogs. He seems to understand basic commands and travels well in the car. Loki is a lovely friendly dog. We think he is crossed with a beagle. He just needs some training. He may benefit by following a mature dog in the home.

BAXTER

BAXTER

Baxter is a 6 year old black working type Cocker. He needs a new home as his owner has recently passed away. He is brilliant with children. He has no cat experience. He has lived with a Shih Tzu and is good with other dogs. He pulls a little on the lead initially. He has very good recall especially with his ball. He travels OK but hasn't been on very long journeys recently and he may have a few separation anxiety issues if left alone for long periods. He has had a lump removed from his side and we are awaiting biopsy results.

JASPA

JASPA

Jaspa is a 7 year old black & white show type cocker. He needs a new home as he is not compatible with the other older male cocker that he lives with. Both dogs are very attached to the owner's husband and Jaspa is attacking the other dog if he gets too close to her husband. Both of the owners are getting hurt when trying to separate the pair. Jaspa needs to be the only dog in the home getting all of the fuss and attention. He is used to the owners grandchildren. He is good with other dogs that he meets on walks. He has no cat experience. He is good on and off the lead. Jaspa travels well in the car. He howls a little when left home alone but hasn't been left for more than an hour or two and has always had the other dog for company.

BARNEY (was Kaiser)

BARNEY (was Kaiser)

Kaiser is just 3 years old and he is a liver & white springer. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is living with the owner's parents and he is not coping with their dog and cat. Kaiser needs to be the only pet in the home. He has lived with children but they possibly teased him over food and his ball. He can be food aggressive and possessive with items but since living with the parents he is much better. He can still chew soft bedding. His lead training needs work. When off-lead he ignores other dogs. His recall isn't always instant. He loves chasing a ball and will always find water and muddy puddles and he loves the sea. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

BOBBY (was Bolt)

BOBBY (was Bolt)

Bolt is a 9 year old Blue Roan (mainly black) Cocker Spaniel. He needs a new home as, sadly, his owner has passed away. Bolt is at present in temporary foster care in Hampshire and he is looking for a special new home. Bolt is still a very active dog who loves to play ball and he loves to swim in the sea. He would be fine with children. He is good with other dogs but has no cat experience. He pulls slightly on the lead. His recall is generally good. He travels well in the car. He can be left for short periods. He used to have some separation anxiety issues but he is a lot better recently.

BENJIE

BENJIE

Benjie is a 10 month old liver & white springer. He needs a new home as his owner cannot cope with such a lively energetic dog. Benjie is used to children and is good with other dogs. He pulls on the lead. His recall training has been started. He travels OK in the car and can be left just for an hour or two.
