Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

TANK

TANK

Tank is an 8 month old liver & white springer x cocker spaniel. Tank and his litter brother Ernie need new homes as a child in the family is very allergic to the dog fur. Tank is used to children, other dogs and cats. He pulls on the lead and his recall needs a lot of work. The dogs sleep in the conservatory in crates. They have been left home alone for too long periods of time for such young dogs. In hot weather they are left in the garden. Both dogs are not completely house trained. They travel well in the car but have only been on short journeys.

CHESTER

CHESTER

Chester is a 4 year old black working type cocker spaniel. Chester is gun shy and lives next to a rifle range shooting club. The constant noise causes him distress so Chester needs a new home. Sadly, Chester is slowly going blind with cataracts. Currently he has about 80% vision but the vet's opinion is that he will be blind at around 10 years of age. He has had one cataract removed but it is growing back and the specialists recommend that he shouldn't have any more surgery. Chester is very good with children, cats and with other dogs. He has grown up in a busy home environment. He loves cuddles and playing fetch. He can bark a lot with excitement. He is good on and off the lead. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods. A special home is sought for Chester.

BEN

BEN

Ben is a 4 year old liver & white springer spaniel. He was handed in at the local dogs home as his owner had been made homeless. We are told that he is good with children and is a little nervous around other dogs. He was bred to be a working gundog but was gun shy so has always lived as a pet and is house trained. He pulls on the lead but we are told that he walked off lead beside his owner. He seems to understand the basic commands. He travelled well in the car when taken to our vet for a health check and he behaved well at the vets.

FLO

FLO

Flo is a 9 year old black working type cocker spaniel. She needs a new home where her owner will be around most of the time as she gets very anxious. She is used to a visiting grandchild. She lives with other dogs who are working gun dogs but Flo now needs a loving retirement home. She pulls a little on the lead and if off lead, she returns when she is ready. She travels well in the car.

BENTLEY

BENTLEY

Bentley is a 2 year old black working type cocker. He needs a new home as his owner's working commitments have changed meaning that Bentley is home alone for long periods. Bentley is used to children. He is very good with the cat that he lives with. He is quite submissive when meeting other dogs. His recall is very good - he won't loose you. He pulls initially on the lead. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
