Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

MISSY

MISSY

Missy is a 9 year old golden show type cocker who needs a new home as she is not getting on with the other female cocker in the home. Missy is a lovely friendly dog who is used to children and other dogs but has not lived with a cat. She pulls on the lead at the beginning of a walk and then settles down. Her recall is good but is better later in the walk when she begins to tire. Missy has a few fatty lumps that have been checked. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

SOOTY

SOOTY

Sooty is 11 years old and is a black show type cocker. She was handed into the local dogs home along with Sweep. She is looking for a permanent retirement home with help from CAESSR if necessary. We know little of her history. She needed mammary tumours removed and also quite a few bad teeth. We also think that she is deaf.

DAISY

Daisy is a 2 year old springer x cocker who is black with a white chest. Her family can't cope any more and are unable to give her the attention she deserves. Daisy is brilliant with the four children that she lives with. She lives with another older dog and is quite submissive to other dogs outside the home. She has no cat experience. She has good recall but she pulls on the lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

BUDDY

BUDDY

Buddy is almost 5 years old and is a Red and White working type cocker. Buddy used to be able to go to work with the man of the family and be with him in the office all day. Now he is being left home alone all day and has become anxious and has started to destroy his bedding. He has also nipped the couple's son who was being silly and was told by his parents to calm down as Buddy was worried by his behaviour. Buddy is good with other dogs when on walks. He has no cat experience. He pulls on the lead and comes back to a whistle when off lead - he had some gun-dog training when young. He travels well in the car. Buddy is afraid of fireworks.

BETSY

BETSY

Betsy is a 5 year old black working type cocker. She needs a new home as she has started to fight with the other female cocker in the home. Betsy has quite a nervous personality but once she trusts you she is a very loveable dog. Betsy is used to teenaged children. She hasn't lived with a cat. She is quite afraid of other dogs as she was "pinned" down by a large dog when she was a puppy. She will back away or bark at them. Betsy pulls on the lead but her recall is good. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

ACE

ACE

Ace is a 12 year old liver & white springer who has come to CAESSR as her owner has sadly passed away. She is a lovely gentle dog who is looking for a permanent retirement home with financial support from CAESSR. Sadly, Ace has cancer and may only have 12 months to live. She used to be a working gun dog. She is house trained and is deaf but she is a happy soul. She is at present in a temporary foster home and has met small children and she is good with other dogs.
