Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Hollie is a small 21 month old Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home as her owner's circumstances have changed, with extra work hours and a health issue. Hollie is used to visiting grandchildren. She loves to play with her ball. She is good with other dogs and has lived with another dog. She has not lived with a cat. Hollie pulls on the lead especially when walking somewhere new. Her recall is good. She travels well in the car. She can be left for short periods, but is used to another dog for company.
Darcy is a 14 month old Chocolate and White working type Cocker. She needs a new home as she is constantly barking at neighbours when in the garden and when people are walking past the home. She doesn't like being stroked by strangers (especially men), but is absolutely fine with family members. She is not a happy dog. She possibly needs to live in a more rural location and with another dog. She hasn't had contact with children and she hates cats. She pulls on the lead and gets excited about going out and her recall is very good. She travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
Bandit is a 14 month old Black and White working type Cocker. He is a lovable dog and very intelligent. His older owners do not have the patience or time to give Bandit the exercise and stimulation that he needs. Bandit is used to older children. He is good with other dogs that he meets outside the home. He has not lived with a cat. He pulls on the lead at the beginning of the walk. His recall needs to be trained and he would benefit from puppy classes, agility or obedience training. He loves traveling in the car. He is house-trained and can be left just for short periods.
Paddy is almost 7 years old and is a Black and White Springer. He needs a new home as he suffers with separation anxiety and can be destructive if left home alone. Paddy is used to children and good with other dogs, but has no cat experience. He pulls a lot on the lead, but his recall is reasonable. He loves to play with a tennis ball. He is afraid of the sound of rain and has had an occasional accident due to fear. He travels well in the car.
Paddy has come to CAESSR needing Cruciate repairs on both back legs. Arthritis has started to set in as this operation should have been carried out when he was a lot younger. He has only been able to exercise for a 10 minute stretch without limping. He is now recovering in a foster home and is looking for a loving new home.
Alfie is a 4 year old golden working type Cocker. He needs a new home as his family are expecting another child and they feel that Alfie needs to be in a home where he will receive all of the fuss and attention. He is a needy dog and wants to be with the lady of the house all the time, to the extent that he has started to growl and bark at her and at the children. Alfie has no cat experience and has lived as the only dog in the home. He pulls on the lead but is better on a halti lead. He used to be very good off lead but has started to be disobedient. He travels well in the car and is only used to being left for very short periods.
Poppy is a 4 year old Orange Roan show type Cocker. Her owner is now ill can't manage her any more. Poppy has had two litters of puppies. She is brilliant with children and is good with other dogs. She pulls a bit at the beginning of a walk and her recall is good. She loves water and to play ball. Poppy travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
