Tilly gbnf 3

Dear Ian

In 2016 my husband John and I came over to Stoke to view a 7 year old springer spaniel named Tilly who was available for possible re-homing. Tilly was a working gun dog whose master was sadly dying of cancer and the family could no longer care for her. We were terribly indecisive, having only ever had labradors in the past. Tilly was a 'leap in the dark' for us. and we spent nearly an hour trying to decide if Tilly was right for us. Needless to say we decided to have her.

Just before Christmas last year I held that same Tilly as the vet gently sent her into a 'forever sleep', and release from the very invasive cancer that had spread through her body and was beginning to cause her distress. She was 14 years old and very active until a couple of weeks before I had to say goodbye. Tilly had been my best friend for over 7 years. She was always by my side and together we coped with the very sudden death of my husband just one year after she joined our family. I simply adored her. She had so much joy in life and was so friendly and gentle with everyone. In the 7 years I had her she never snapped or growled at anyone or any other animal. She was simply the best and I loved her more than mere words can ever express.

I just wanted to say a very sincere thank you for all the joy and love Tilly brought into my life
