Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Barney is a 5 year old golden working type cocker. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is a very energetic dog who is used to living with an older, quieter male dog. He has always lived in a rural environment with a few acres of land to run around and enjoy. His recall is good and he will return to a gun-dog whistle. He may need more lead training. We are looking for an experienced home for Barney with no children. He sleeps inside in a utility room. In warmer weather he was left outside in the daytime in an outside kennel. He may be OK as an only dog but we don't know what he would be like if left home alone. He is an excitable traveller and doesn't like being in a travel cage.
Timmy is just 10 years old and is a red show type cocker spaniel. He needs a new home as his owner has sadly passed away. He is a very friendly boy and is good when visiting the vets. Timmy loves children and he is good around other dogs. He has no cat experience. Timmy needs to loose quite a lot of weight. He will need a Senior light food and more gentle exercise. He pulls a bit on the lead but his recall is good. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.
Lenny is just six years old and is a chocolate and white Springer X Cocker Spaniel. He has come to CAESSR from an elderly couple where he has not been given the attention and medical care that he needs. Lenny is a very loving dog but he needed heart surgery. He is now fully recovered and should be able to lead a normal life. As he has always lived in an outside kennel, he will need to be house trained. He is urgently looking for his special home as he is getting frustrated at kennels. His new family may need to be very patient with him in order to get him house trained.
Pippa is a 6 month old liver & white working type cocker. She needs a new home as she gets too excited around the young children in the family and will not stop puppy nipping. Pippa needs a quieter, more experienced home. She is good around other dogs but has no cat experience. She is being trained still to walk to heel when on lead and her recall needs training. She travels well in the car and can be left just for a very short period.
