Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Buster is almost 10 years old and is a black working type cocker with white on his chest. Up to four years ago, Buster was a good working gundog. He has been rescued by a concerned dog walker from living in an outdoor kennel with little socialisation with other dogs and very little exercise. Buster has come to CAESSR and is looking for a loving retirement home with the comforts of an indoor life. He may need to be house trained. He is good with children and is used to cats. However, he may be best homed with no other pets as he gets very excited and overwhelmed. He pulls a bit on the lead and is best walked using a harness. His recall may need to be re-trained. He travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
Ringo is a 6 1/2 year old black working type cocker with a white flash on his chest. He needs a new home due to a change of family circumstances. Ringo is used to children and has lived with another dog. He hasn't lived with a cat. Ringo is a friendly lad who has been used to living in an outside kennel. However, he does have access into the house and is house trained but he gets very excited. He has a very long tail that he wags a lot and the end has been damaged recently when in the home. Ringo pulls on the lead but is better when walked using a harness. He is used to going on 5 mile hikes. When off lead, he comes back eventually. His recall may need more work. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods. Ringo has always been able to predict an approaching thunder storm and he gets quite agitated and barks.
Tickey is a 6 year old liver & white springer. He needs a new home as the child in the family is allergic. Tickey is good with children and with other dogs. He is also cat friendly. Tickey broke both cruciate ligaments earlier in the year and may need more surgery. He pulls on the lead and his recall is good. He can be left home alone for short periods. He is a little nervous of travelling in a car.
