Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Sam is a 9 month old black & white springer spaniel. He has come to CAESSR needing a new home as a pet as he has "too much of a mind of his own" to become a working gun dog. Sam is a very friendly boy who will probably need to be house trained and possibly hasn't been in a house.
Rupert is a 9 year old Black show type Cocker. He has come to CAESSR as his owner has health problems and she can't give Rupert the life that he deserves. Since coming to CAESSR, Rupert has been groomed. He has had dental surgery and his ears thoroughly cleaned as they were very sore. He is used to older children and is good with other dogs although he is used to living as the only dog. He has no cat experience. Rupert has a bed downstairs and one upstairs too. He gets excited when going for a walk and he is generally OK when walked off lead. He can be left home alone for a short period. He gets excited when going on a journey in the car.
Stanley is a 20 month old liver & white Springer x Cocker Spaniel. Stanley is a very busy exuberant dog who is in need of lots of stimulation. His owner can't cope. His owner also has a small elderly female cocker spaniel and she is having to keep the two dogs apart as she was hurt when Stanley was being too rough with the elderly cocker. Stanley also seems to prefer visiting men folk. He has interacted with children but doesn't seem very interested in them. He is fine with other dogs outside the home. He has no cat experience. He pulls on the lead but his owners have been working on this. His recall is excellent. Stanley has tried flyball but doesn't know how to calm down afterwards. He travels OK but us excited at first. He can be left for short periods. He is behaving very well with everyone at our kennels.
Millie is an 8 year old black & white show type cocker spaniel. Her owner now has ill health. Millie is a very friendly dog who is used to living with other dogs. Millie's ears needed attention. She needed antibiotics and surgery to have them cleaned properly. Millie walks well on a lead and travels well in the car.
Fly is a 12 month old liver & white springer. She has come to CAESSR having had surgery to repair a broken leg. Fly has come from a working gun-dog home and she needed to be rehomed as a pet. She will possibly need to be house trained. She has a lovely personality and travels well in the car.
Marley is an 8 1/2 year old, large, show type cocker who is orange roan. He has come to CAESSR via the local dogs home. Marley is used to living with other dogs. He has not lived with children or cats. He is not a dog that likes lots of affection. He enjoys his walks and travels well in the car. Marley has been groomed at kennels and he doesn't like his back feet being touched. He has had dental surgery and some teeth removed. Recently, he seemed to have been bitten on his neck that caused him a lot of pain and he had to be at the vets for a number of days. He is better now but is wary about going to the vets. He is back to enjoying his lead walks at the kennels and is now looking for a quiet experienced home.
