Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

SCAMP

SCAMP

Scamp is a 17 month old Golden working type Cocker with a little bit of White on his face. He originally belonged to an elderly couple. Scamp came to CAESSR via another rescue, who couldn't find the right home for such an inquisitive and boisterous little dog. He pulls on the lead and has started his recall training.

BELLA (and OSCAR)

BELLA (and OSCAR)

Bella and Oscar are working type Cockers. Bella is 4.5 years old and is Blue Roan and Oscar is 3 years old and is Chocolate. Their owners have baby twins and cannot give them the time and exercise that they need. They are used to children and good with other dogs, but have not lived with a cat. Bella walks well on the lead, but Oscar pulls initially with excitement. When off-lead Bella will come back when playing ball, but when distracted she will come when she is ready. Oscar will run for a ball all day and has good recall, but will sometimes follow Bella if she finds an interesting scent. They travel well in the car and can be left for short periods. CAESSR is looking for a home where they can stay together.

PLUM

PLUM

Plum will be 6 years old in March and is a Blue Roan show type Cocker. She needs a new home due to her owner's ill-health. She is used to teen aged children, but is a bit wary of younger ones. She is used to cats and good with other dogs. Plum is good on and off the lead. She sleeps on her own bed in the owner's bedroom. She travels well in the car on the passenger seat wearing a harness and can be left for short periods.

HONEY

HONEY

Honey is an 8.5 year old Golden show type Cocker. She needs a new home as her owner is now poorly. Her owner has recently had a fit and was bitten by Honey whilst having the fit. There was no one else at home so we don't know what exactly happened. Honey has lived in the home for the past 2 years and has not bitten before. She is used to older teen aged children and is very good with other dogs. She is good on the lead, but her owners have not been able to train her recall, so she is walked on an extending lead. She travels well in the car and is not used to being left home alone for more than a couple of hours.

MONTY

MONTY

Monty is about 6 years old and is a Liver and White Springer, who has come to CAESSR as he was found straying. He is a fairly small Springer, who seems to be a very friendly dog. His head tilts slightly, which seems to indicate that he may have had a mini stroke in the past. We don't know any more of his history. He is looking for a loving new home.

Monty has been to our vets and was found to have an inner ear infection that is being treated with antibiotics.

Monty has been in foster care and has been groomed. He is brilliant with visiting grandchildren and he is good on the lead. He is house-trained and he is deaf.

CHARLIE

CHARLIE

Charlie is a 5.5 month old Gold and White working type Cocker. His owner now has to travel around the country with work and is unable to give him the time and attention he deserves. Charlie is used to children. He loves to play with other dogs and he is used to cats. He is quite good on the lead. He has been off lead, but needs more work - he wants to be friends with everyone and everything! He travels well in the car.

MOLLIE and CHARLIE

MOLLIE and CHARLIE

Mollie and Charlie are 8.5 year old Springer Spaniels, who need a new home as their owner has back and knee injuries and is moving into sheltered accommodation. Mollie is Liver and White and Charlie is Black and White and they are brother and sister. They are good with the owner's young grandchildren and are used to cats and other dogs. They both pull on the lead. Mollie has very good recall, but Charlie can be a little slower as he is deaf in one ear. It helps to clap hands at the same time as calling his name. They travel well in the car and can be left for short periods.

TILLY

TILLY

Tilly is a 2 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker. She lives with four other dogs. She loves human interaction and gets extremely jealous of the other dogs when they receive fuss and attention. She sometimes growls, but never bites. She is looking for a home where she will be the only pet. Tilly has not lived with a cat, but is used to children. She has had one litter of puppies and will be spayed prior to going to a new home. She is house trained but has generally lived in an outside kennel. Tilly is good on the lead. She has never been off lead as she would bark at other dogs. Her family hardly ever go out for walks as they have acres of land. Tilly has rarely been in a car. She has not been left much and has always had the company of other dogs.
