Rehomed

Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

BOB (was Chewie)

BOB (was Chewie)

Chewie is an 11 month old small Golden working type Cocker. He needs a new home as he was far too hyperactive for his owners' to manage. He is good around other dogs, but would be best in an experienced home with no children. Chewie can still "puppy mouth" - a habit that needs breaking. He needs lots of activity and stimulation. He has had a test for the Prison Service, but didn't pass the course. An experienced gundog person has assessed him and found that he can be possessive with the dummies. He has good motivation for food and toys and his energy needs to be channelled constructively.

MILO

MILO

Milo is a 2.5 year old Liver and White Springer. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Milo is used to children and has lived with another dog and a cat. He is good on and off the lead and travels well in the car.

When Milo arrived at CAESSR along with his companion, Rosie, in November, both dogs were suffering with severe fear aggression issues.Milo growled and wouldn't move out of his bed and Rosie hid away behind Milo completely out of sight. The kennel staff and our behaviourist have worked with these dogs and Rosie has now been rehomed. Milo will soon be going to a residential trainer, who is expert in this field and he will then be looking for a patient and loving home to continue his rehabilitation.

MILO

MILO

Milo is a 14 month old black working type cocker. He needs a new home as the neighbours have reported the owner to the police, as Milo and his litter brother howl and bark the whole time that the family are out of the home. Milo is good with children. He is used to cats and is good with other dogs. He is a very active working type cocker who needs stimulation and training. He pulls on the lead and he has not been trained off-lead yet. We have found that Milo is a little bossy towards his litter brother. He was also travel sick on his journey to CAESSR.

LINCOLN

LINCOLN

Lincoln is a 2 year old small Golden working type Cocker with his full tail. His owners are first time dog owners, who cannot manage such a hyper-active dog. They have a small child and are expecting a baby. Lincoln is not ball orientated, but he is a very bouncy dog. He is looking for an experienced owner, who can give him lots of stimulation and maybe introduce him to agility. He is trustworthy with the child, but he knocks her over, steals food from her hands and chews up her toys. He has no cat experience. When off lead, if there is another dog in sight he will run off and not come back. His lead training is getting better. He has separation anxiety issues if left alone too long and is a fidgety traveller.

MEG (was Daisey)

Daisey is almost 3 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. Her owner is unable to look after her due to ill-health. She is a very loyal dog, who has a slightly nervous personality so will need time to adjust to a new home. Daisey is used to visiting grandchildren and is good with other dogs. She has not lived with a cat. She pulls a bit on the lead and is OK off lead, but is very attracted to birds. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

JAKE

JAKE

Jake is a 6 year old Chocolate and Tan large show type Cocker. His owner has had to move into accommodation where she cannot keep a dog. Jake pulls a lot on the lead, but his recall is good. He won't stray far from you. He is a sociable, loving dog, who enjoys being around people and playing outdoors. He is good with other dogs and is used to children and cats. He can be left home alone for short periods. He has little experience of travelling in a car and doesn't like being in a travel crate or in the back of an estate car with a dog guard. Jake is a lovely dog, but he is quite needy.

ISLA

Isla is a 5 year old small Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. She is good with children and other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. Isla is good on and off the lead. She travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

MONTY

MONTY

Monty is an 8.5 year oldĀ  Liver and White Springer. His owner has been taken into a nursing home. Monty is a very sensitive dog who gets on well with other dogs. He is looking for a quiet home. He dislikes being shouted at and doesn't like people arguing. He also likes you to keep away from him when he is eating his meals. Monty is not used to living with children, but is OK when he meets them outside his home. He is not used to cats, but he has seen livestock and is OK. He is good on and off the lead. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
