Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

BEN

BEN

Ben is almost 9 years old and is a Golden Show type Cocker Spaniel. He is a happy lively dog whose owner has sadly passed away. He is used to cats and is good with other dogs. He has a fear of motor bikes and doesn't like his ears being brushed.

MILLIE (was Myra)

MILLIE (was Myra)

Myra is almost 2 years old and is a Liver and White Springer (more liver than white). She needs a new home as her owner is working long hours. She is used to children and has been living with another dog. She is a very gentle dog who loves cuddles. Myra pulls on the lead. She loves to carry things around in her mouth - such as a bone or her dinner bowl. She is quite a timid dog, who will cower if you approach her too quickly - espescially with your hand up. She was rescued by the present owner when she was 6 months old.

HARRY

HARRY

Harry is a 6 year old Liver and White Springer with a docked tail, who needs a new home as his owner can't give him the attention he deserves as she has two very young children. Harry is brilliant with the children and is good with other dogs, but he has not lived with a cat. He is house trained and sleeps inside, but can still wee with excitement. He can be left home alone for short periods. He is not too bad on the lead, but does pull when walked by his lady owner and is exercised mostly off lead. He can occasionally suffer from selective deafness, but will come back eventually. Harry likes to sing to Coronation Street!

DUKE

DUKE

Duke is an 8 year old Black and White Springer. He has come to CAESSR via the local dog wardens. His owner is a gamekeeper, who has lost his job. Duke is a fully trained gun-dog in very good condition - although we feel that he has been quite harshly trained. He is not house trained and lives in an outside kennel.

DIGBY

DIGBY

Digby is almost 4 years old and is a Chocolate Roan show type Cocker. He is used to children and loves people. He is scared of large and very lively dogs, but he is good around calm dogs. He has lived with another Cocker in the past, but has not lived with a cat. He suffers a little separation anxiety, but usually settles down OK and can be left for short periods. Digby is very good on the lead and will return eventually when off lead. He loves travelling in the car. He has come to CAESSR with a few medical issues - acid reflux and suspected allergies. His owner also needs to return to working in an office rather than from home. Digby has had allergy tests at our vets and no problems were found. He has previously had x-rays and an endoscopy and nothing was found.

GEORGE

GEORGE

George is a 19 month old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is used to children and is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. George is house trained and can be left for short periods. He pulls on the lead and is best walked on a halti lead. If off lead he returns when called and sits for a treat. He travels well in the car.

WILSON

WILSON

Wilson is a 12 month old Gold and White working Cocker, who is looking for a new owner, who can offer him lots of stimulation and exercise. He is living with two very young children and Wilson has growled at them and has nipped one of them, when he was being stroked. He is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He pulls a bit on the lead and although he has been off lead his recall may need a little more training. Wilson travels very well in the car.

KARA

KARA

Kara is a 12 year old White and Black, show type Cocker, who urgently needs a foster home as she is living in a flat and the landlord said "no dogs allowed". She is good with children of all ages and is used to cats and other dogs. Kara is brilliant on and off the lead. She loves travelling in the car. She has had one fatty lump removed. She has a cateract on one eye and at present has an ear infection and is on medication.
