Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Archie is a 5 year old Liver and White Springer. His family have moved and now don't have a garden and they are also working long hours. He deserves a much better life as he is a lovely boy. He is used to children and has shared his home with cats and kittens. He is normally submissive to other dogs. He gets excited when visitors come to his home and can wee with excitement. He barks at the postman and he doesn't like fireworks. Archie pulls on the lead, unless checked. His recall is good but he can occasionally suffer from selective deafness! He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Banjo is a 3 year old Liver and White Springer with a docked tail. He needs a new home as he has been chasing sheep and has killed chickens. Banjo is a friendly dog, who is good with children and other dogs. He has not lived with a cat. He is a very active dog, so is looking for owners who regularly enjoy walking in the countryside. He is house trained and has been sleeping inside in the winter and outside in a kennel in the summer. His commands are well trained. He can be left home alone for short periods and he likes travelling in the car.
Dylan is a 3½ year old Blue Roan working type Cocker. His owner is moving into a flat and can't keep him. Dylan is looking for a home with lots of love, but he does need a structured routine, with plenty of exercise and discipline. He is not used to children, but has lived with cats. He has not lived with another dog. He is well behaved with most other dogs, but can be defensive with large ones. He tends to pull on the lead. His recall is good. He wont loose you, but can be slow coming back if he is investigating a scent. Dylan can be left home alone for short periods. He is left in the kitchen and he sleeps in the kitchen at night. If allowed up-stairs he will hide under the bed and can get snappy. He loves travelling in the car, but again, can be protective of it.

Poppy is a 10 year old Golden show type Cocker. She needs a new home due to a change in personal circumstances. Poppy is a lovely dog, who is used to children of 10 years and upwards. She is used to cats and good with other dogs. She can growl a bit when she is fed, but otherwise she has no behavioural issues. She pulls a bit on the lead and her recall is good. She travels well in the car.
Bella is a 10 month old Black working type Cocker. She needs a new home as there is an autistic child in the family, who is frightened of Bella's boisterousness. Bella is good with children. She likes to play with other dogs, but she has not lived with a cat. She pulls a little on the lead. Her recall used to be good, but she has started to disobey the "come" command due to the fact that she has had to be separated recently from the child who is frightened of her. Bella travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.
Rosie is almost 7 years old and is a Black and White show type Cocker. She needs a new home as her owner has passed away. Rosie is used to children, cats and other dogs. She doesn't like the vacuum cleaner! She is good on and off the lead, but likes to chase pheasants. She is quite over-weight, so needs a light diet and a gentle build up to normal amounts of exercise. She travels very well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.
Cassie is almost 7 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. The owner and her daughter have health issues and are unable to give Cassie the life that she deserves. Cassie has also developed separation anxiety so needs someone who is around more of the time. She is used to children, cats and other dogs. She pulls a bit initially, on the lead, and is then better. She is good off lead. She travels very well in the car.
JOEY is a 3 year old golden show type cocker. Joey is at present in a foster home. He is looking for an experienced cocker owner with no children or visiting children. When Joey first came into rescue, he was frightened and snappy. He has some resource guarding issues but his foster mum has worked hard with him and can now approach him and take from him what he is not allowed. In his foster home he is living with three female dogs. Joey is fine but not interested to play so ideally he is looking for a home where he will be the only dog or where there is a steady female dog. Joey is house trained and is quick to learn. He still pulls a lot on the lead. His recall has improved but on occasion he still likes to follow his nose to something more interesting! He has learned how to climb a tree and would make a good agility dog. Joey travels well in the car.
