Rehomed

Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

SCOOBY 2 (was Buster)

SCOOBY 2 (was Buster)

Buster is a three month old Liver and White Springer puppy. The owners' young child has become increasingly worried with Buster around and is not interacting with him. Buster wants to make friends and hasn't done anything to warrant this behaviour from the little boy. Buster is doing well with his puppy training. He is used to living with a cat. He is getting better with car travel. His owners wish him to be rehomed with a family.

DARWIN

DARWIN

Darwin is a 3½ year old Liver and White Springer. His family have a new baby and are not giving him the time or attention that he deserves. Darwin is frustrated and is becoming grumpy. When taken out for walks he is refusing to come back into the house. When moving house last year the family stayed with parents, who have a large house and lots of space. Darwin really loved this. He loves to be around people and dislikes being left home alone. A busy home with older children would suit him or an individual or couple who could devote a lot of time and attention to him. Darwin is good with other dogs and can be trusted around cats, sheep, chickens and horses. He pulls on the lead but is better on a harness. His recall is good most of the time. He can be unsure of cyclists and will bark at them, but will hide and not chase. He is quite submissive when meeting other dogs. He travels well in the car.

MOLLY

MOLLY

Molly is almost 6 years old and is a Black show type Cocker. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. She is a very loving dog, who enjoys company and long walks. She is excellent around children and is very good with other dogs. She has not lived with a cat. Molly has a bad habit of barking a lot when people approach the house or if she hears other dogs. She pulls initially on the lead and is very good off lead. She has been allowed to sit on the sofa and sleep in the bedroom. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

MOLLY (was MINDY)

Mindy is a 4 year old Golden show type Cocker. Her owners are both working long shift hours and the grown up children have all now moved out so Mindy is being left very long hours and she needs a better life. She has no behavioural issues apart from thinking that everything that comes through the letter-box is hers! However, she is now having accidents in the house due to being left long hours. If someone is at home she lets you know when she wants to go outside. Mindy is good with the owners toddling grandson. She hasn't lived with a cat and hasn't had much contact with other dogs. She pulls on the lead. Her recall has never been trained. She is not getting much exercise at all at present. Mindy has the run of the downstairs of the house when left home alone and she travels OK in the car.

BARNEY

BARNEY

Barney is an 8½ year old Orange Roan show type Cocker. His owner's working hours are now longer and they also have an elderly parent who is seriously ill and they are needing to travel to visit her. Barney is OK when left home alone, but needs a better life. He is well trained and is a good dog with a happy personality. He is boisterous when meeting new people and hasn't had much contact with children. He has not lived with a cat. He has never had any problems with other dogs, when on walks. He doesn't go upstairs or on the furniture and sleeps in his bed in the utility room. He is good on and off the lead and he travels well in the car.

PADDY (wasTommy)

PADDY (wasTommy)

Tommy is approximately 4-5 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. We know nothing about his previous life as he has come to CAESSR via a local dog pound. Tommy seems to have a lovely personality. He is a very bouncy Springer with a waggy tail. He seems to be clean in his kennel. He has now been vaccinated and microchipped, but needs two broken teeth to be removed. He behaves well with the other dogs at our kennels. He is now looking for his new home and due to the lack of previous history cannot be rehomed with children.

ROLEY

ROLEY

Roley is a 2½ year old Black fairly large working type Cocker. His owner has started a new job, which entails travelling quite long distances from home and Roley cannot be left such long hours. Roley is over-weight and is constantly looking for food. He is a greedy dog, who would pinch food from the owner's young grand children's hands if given the chance! Apart from this he is a lovely natured dog and is not possessive with his toys. If left home alone he will attack and empty the kitchen bin. Roley needs a lot more exercise and activity. He pulls on the lead. However, he is good when off lead and doesn't wander far. Roley has not lived with another dog or a cat. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

CASPER (was Jasper)

Jasper is a 12 month old Liver and White Springer. His owner has changed his job and Jasper is being left long hours and is not getting the exercise that he needs. Jasper has been well trained. He is very good with children and other dogs. He is used to a cat and has been around livestock. He walks well on a lead, but his owner rarely uses one. Jasper spends his day in an outside kennel, but needs a better life. He is house trained, but will chew a bit with boredom if left home alone inside the house. He sleeps inside. Unfortunately, Jasper broke his leg when only 5 months old and his leg is pinned. He made a full recovery and has no problems. He travels well in the car.
