Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

JULES

JULES

Jules is almost 7 years old and is a light blue roan show type cocker spaniel. She belongs to an elderly couple who can no longer give her the attention and care that she needs. She is a very loving dog who is very attached to the lady of the house. She hasn't had much contact with children and she hasn't lived with a cat. She has lived with another dog and has had puppies in the past. She is good when on the lead but hasn't been off lead recently when out in the countryside. Jules loves traveling in the car and is fine when left just for short periods.

Jules will be very loyal to her owners and is brilliant when on long walks and she has a good attitude towards other dogs. She would not be suitable in a home where there are visiting children or in a home where there are always friends visiting - she can be snappy. She may need to be put out of the way and to undergo some training. Behaviourist help is available.

SCOOBY

SCOOBY

Scooby is a five year old cocker spaniel. He needs a new home as his previous owner sadly passed away.Scooby has been with his foster family for a few weeks. He is a loving and fun dog to be with and very affectionate. He walks exceedingly well both on and off lead and his recall is good too. He has been walked on busy roads, in parks and through the country side without any problems. He gets on well with other dogs and has been socialised, on a lead, around horses, cats, dogs, cows and appears friendly with them all. Scooby travels well in his crate. He has some issues around the house with attention seeking, barking when left on his own and if the phone/doorbell rings or post arrives. He also dislikes being touched mainly around his rear half and can be a sensitive to this. We have been working with our dog behaviourist with a plan in place to correct these issues and Scooby is already showing great signs of improvement.  This plan and support will follow any potential adoption family.Due to his sensitivity to touch Scooby is best placed in a home without young children. His foster family and people who have been involved in Scooby’s rehabilitation all agree that Scooby is a fantastic dog who is well behaved and with the right support will be a great companion.

LUCY

LUCY

Lucy is a 3 1/2 year old beige American cocker spaniel. She needs a new home as her owner is working very long hours. She is good with other dogs but has no cat experience. She pulls on the lead but her recall when off lead is good. She travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
