Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

BEAU

BEAU

Beau is almost 5 years old and is a Black working type Cocker. She is a trained working gundog, but she lives on a farm and is chasing sheep and has killed some ducks. She needs a new home where she can continue her working life safely away from sheep! She is good with children and with other dogs.

TEAL

TEAL

Teal is about 10-11 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. He has been a working gundog and is well trained. He is now looking for a loving retirement home. Teal is good with children and other dogs and is clean in his kennel - so would most likely house train quite easily. He travels well in the car. He has been to our vet for a health check. He is quite thin and a little weak on his back legs - he needs gentle exercise to build him up. He has been given some eye-cream. He has a lump that needs removing if his vet thinks that he will manage the surgery. We are looking for a permanent foster home for Teal.

PIPPIN

Pippin is a 2½ year old Chocolate working type Cocker with a little White on his chest. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Pippin is a very gentle, playful dog who is great with children and loves lots of human company. He is good with other dogs and has lived with another dog. He has also lived with a cat. Pippin pulls at first on the lead but does understand "heel". His recall is good. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

CASSIE

CASSIE

Cassie is an 11 year old Black and White Cocker X, who looks like a Cocker. She needs a new home as her owner has fallen and can no longer give her the exercise that she needs. She is a lovely dog, who is used to visiting children. She has not lived with a cat and would be best as the only dog in the home. Cassie is good on and off the lead. She is a lively 11 year old, who is in good health. She will chase a ball for as long as you can throw it for her. She travels very well in the car. She would make an ideal companion dog for an older person or couple.

MUDDI (was Dobby)

Dobby is a 7 month old Black, White and Tan show type Cocker. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Dobby is very playful. He is used to children cats and other dogs. He is good on the lead and his recall training is progressing well. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods although he has always been left with another dog.

HOLLY

HOLLY

Holly is a 2 year old Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home as one of her owners is poorly. Holly is not good with young children. She is good with other dogs and has lived with another dog. She hates cats and will chase rabbits. Holly is quite a vocal dog. She pulls on the lead. Her recall is OK, but she can suffer with selective deafness. She travels well in the car.

STELLA

STELLA

Stella is an 8 year old Liver working type Cocker. She needs a new home due to a change in circumstances, which means that she is being left home alone for long periods. Stella is very lively and friendly and needs lots of human contact. She is used to children, but will still jump up. She lives with a cat and is OK. She is good with other dogs, but is used to being the only dog in the home getting all the attention. Stella pulls on the lead, however she is fantastic off lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

OWEN

OWEN

Owen is a 5½ year old Blue Roan working type Cocker. He is a very active dog who will need lots of stimulation and an experienced owner. He will need to be the only dog in the home with no children. He has lived with his present owners for the last 6 months and has travelled around everywhere with them. Owen is basically a lovely friendly dog, who is always pleased to meet visitors and neighbours. He is always very excited when their grown up son came around. At some point in his past life he must have been punished using rolled up newspapers, as he runs upstairs if the lady of the house tidies newspapers. Owen pulls on the lead, but has excellent recall. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods. Owen will be groomed prior to rehoming as his coat is thick and matted.

Owen enjoyed his trip to be groomed and was extremely good. He is over-weight and we feel that he was not given enough exercise in his previous home.
