Rehomed

Molly is an 8 year old Liver and White Springer with a docked tail. She needs a new home as her owners are emigrating. She has been living with Jake - a 5 year old Springer. Their owners think that they could be rehomed separately, but if a home comes forward to take them both that would be great. Molly is used to children and good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. She can growl at night time when told to go to bed but she doesn't like being shut in the kitchen. She is good on and off the lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods - although she has always had Jake for company.

Jake is a 5 year old Liver and white Springer with a docked tail. He needs a new home as his owners are emigrating. He has been living with Molly an 8 year old Springer. Their owners think that they could be rehomed separately, but if a home comes forward to take them both that would be great. Jake is used to children. He is scared of other dogs and can bark and growl at them, but has never attacked. He needs more socialisation with other dogs. He has not lived with a cat. Jake loves his tennis balls and will drop it for you to throw it again. He pulls on the lead but has excellent recall. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods - although he has always had Molly for company.

Rex is a 2½ year old Golden working type Cocker. His owner has no time to give him a good quality of life. Rex had a very bad start in life - he was rescued by his owner at 6 months old. He was shut in a crate with no food and water for long periods of time. Rex has a very nervous personality and is afraid of fireworks and thunder. He cowers if you get out a broom to sweep the floor. He doesn't like to be shut in a small space. He sleeps in the kitchen and has the run of the downstairs of the house. Rex is used to children, but ignores young ones. He is used to cats, but needs more socialization with other dogs. He pulls a lot on the lead. His recall is good - he never goes too far from you. He travels OK, but doesn't want to sit down - he likes to look around. His commands are good, especially stay and wait. He is only left for a couple of hours and can bark at first, but is not destructive.

Dixie is a lovely 11 year old Liver and White Springer whose owner has passed away. The owner's daughter is looking after her, but she has no garden and Dixie is being left home alone all day. Dixie used to have constant company and she is not getting the life she deserves. She will be available on our Foster an Oldie scheme. She is good with children and is used to other dogs and cats. She is brilliant on and off the lead and she travels well in the car. In her younger days Dixie was a fully trained gundog.

Sally is a 9½ year old Liver and White Springer. Her owner is now seriously ill and unable to look after her. Sally is a lovely gentle dog, who is used to children. She is getting used to the other dogs at our base. When she was a puppy her owners couldn't get a collar and lead on her so she had never been out of her garden to go for a walk. She is now wearing a collar and has started going for walks. She is also receiving treatment for a urine infection. Sally is OK if left for short periods and seems to travel well.

Bob is a 5 year old Liver and White Springer. One of his owners is now disabled and the other works a lot away from home. Bob has a lovely personality and is good with the young grandchildren. He is good with other dogs, but would possibly chase a cat and he takes a lot of interest in birds! He seems to travel well in the car.

Patch is approximately 10 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. His owner is no longer able to care for him. He is living on a farm. Patch previously lived in the house, but recently has lived in an agricultural building. He is fine with children. He is used to other dogs, cats and livestock. Patch pulls a little on the lead and he has a good recall. He travels well in the car.

Buddy is a 2½ year old Liver and White Springer. He needs a new home due to a change of the owner's job meaning that he has no time to give him the exercise and care that he needs. Buddy is brilliant with children. He is used to other dogs, cats and livestock. He pulls on  the lead, but can walk beside you nicely when off lead. He has had some gundog training. He is house-trained and will sleep inside or outside. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
