Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

CASPER (was Claude)

CASPER (was Claude)

Claude is a 4½ year old Red working type Cocker Spaniel. He was placed in the kennels for boarding, but was never collected. He has been groomed and he likes lots of fuss. Claude likes to run in the yard at the kennels carrying something in his mouth. He may have lived outside and will need to be house trained.

PIPPIN

PIPPIN

Pippin is a 2 year old black & white springer spaniel. Her family have to move into new accommodation where they can't keep pets. Pippin is used to living with children and she has been living with a male Labrador. She has no experience with cats. Pippin loves lots of fuss and attention. She pulls a lot on the lead, however her recall is amazing. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods but has always has the other dog for company.

BARNEY (was Barry)

BARNEY (was Barry)

Barry is almost 10 years old and is a black cocker spaniel. He is quite a large cocker who may be part show type and part working. His family have recently moved house and circumstances have changed. Barry has lived with a small child but he is an anxious dog and he would be best in a home with no younger children or visiting young grandchildren. He doesn't like loud noises. He hasn't lived with a cat. Barry can show a bit of aggression to some dogs when he is on the lead. This is due to him being attacked when young. However, he is friendly to everyone and towards dogs that he knows. His recall is good and he ignores other dogs when off lead. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

SHEILA

SHEILA

Sheila is a 2 year old liver & white Springer Spaniel. She needs a new home as she is fighting with another young female spaniel in the family. Sheila is used to children. She travels well in the car and her recall is fantastic when off lead. She sleeps upstairs in the bedroom and can be left home alone for short periods. Sheila can be a little food aggressive. She will sit and wait for her food but likes to come back a few times to give her bowl a lick. She doesn't like her back end being touched but she will wear a muzzle to be groomed.

BEN (was Brian)

BEN (was Brian)

Brian is a 5 1/2 year old liver & white springer spaniel. His owner is no longer able to give him the life he deserves as he is losing his sight. Brian is an ex detection dog. He is a good boy and well trained. He has always lived in an outside kennel but he seems to be a very clean dog so may have had plenty of access to the indoors. Brian has been groomed at kennels as his ears were very matted. We don't know whether he has lived with children. He travels well in the car.

JASPER

JASPER

Jasper is in need of a very experienced home.

Jasper is a 2 year old liver & white springer spaniel. He needs a new home as his owner has sadly passed away. Jasper has been living in a household with three older adults and has not been properly socialized. He hasn't met children and is not socialized with other dogs. It has taken time for him to be comfortable with the kennel staff and he can now be quite clingy. He is also a typical springer who behaves like a whirlwind. Jasper pulls on the lead and used to be exercised off-lead using a ball thrower. He travels well in the car. He is looking for a quiet home with no children and with people who can cope with a lively young springer.
