Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

LUDO

LUDO

Ludo is almost 7 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. He needs a new home as his owner cannot manage him any more due to health problems - he is too strong on the lead. Ludo has a brilliant temperament and is very good with other dogs, livestock and possibly OK with cats. He hasn't lived with children, but is very soft mouthed and would be very good, but could knock over young ones. He loves his ball and his toys and can retrieve. His toys have names and he knows which one is which! Ludo has a very good recall. He sleeps inside and travels well in the car.

BENSON

BENSON

Benson is a 7 month old Liver and White Springer, with a docked tail. His owner can't give him the time that he needs. He is very possessive of his food bowl and of anything else that he manages to steal! He has bitten his owner, when he tried to pick up his bowl after feeding. Although Benson is not left alone much he still likes to chew - table legs etc. Benson has not been around children. He is good with other dogs and has seen cats and would possibly be OK with them. He pulls at first on the lead, but then settles and will sit at a kerb. He hasn't been off lead. He travels well in the car and likes to swim.

TEDDY

TEDDY

Teddy is a 7 year old Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, whose companion is a Springer. His owner has sadly passed away. Teddy has a lovely personality, although he hasn't lived with children. He is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He is OK on the lead. He has a slight heart murmour and came to CAESSR in quite a scruffy condition, with very knotty ears. He will be groomed before rehoming.

BILLY

Billy is a Liver and White Springer, who is approximately 3 years old. He needs a new home as his owner can't cope. He is destroying the garden and is destructive in the home, when left as he suffers from separation anxiety. He is a brilliant dog - good with children, cats and other dogs. He pulls on the lead, but has an excellent recall and he travels well in the car.

SALLY

SALLY

Sally is a Golden show type Cocker, who is approximately 3 years old. She has come to CAESSR from another Rescue, who rescued her from a puppy farm. She was in foster care with that rescue and is now house trained. She is a very laid-back dog, who is always round your feet. Sally is good with children and other dogs. She walks well on the lead and howls when excited. Sally came to CAESSR with an ulcerated mouth and is on steroids. The cause is being further investigated.

NUGGET

NUGGET

Nugget is a 2½ year old Tan American Cocker X show type Spaniel. He is looking for an experienced owner with no children, who has an outside kennel and access to fields for plenty of outdoor exercise. Nugget has quite a dominant personality and can be quite temperamental. When he has had enough of playing or being sociable he likes to go to his bed or in his own space and be left alone - otherwise he can be very snappy and may growl. Nugget enjoys the structured life that our kennels provides - being able to play with another dog then to retreat to his own space. He was unhappy in his home as his owners have a baby and also work. He has not lived with a cat. He walks well on the lead and his recall is excellent. He knows many commands and travels well in the car. He also loves playing in water and can retrieve a ball.

JAKE

JAKE

Jake is a lovely 10 year old Liver and White show type Springer, with a brilliant temperament. He needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances, which means that he is being left home alone for long hours and Jake is being destructive. Jake suffers with ear problems, at times, and has seen our vet and has medication at present. He is lively for his age and has no other health issues. He loves people and is brilliant with children. He has not lived with a cat or with another dog. He is good on the lead and fairly good off lead and he travels well in the car.

MOLLY (now Daisy)

MOLLY (now Daisy)

Molly is a 2½ year old Black and Tan show Cocker. She has come to CAESSR as her owners would like to have a family and feel that Molly is not suitable to be with children. She occasionally can show aggressive tendencies and has bitten the owners mum. She is fine most of the time and has been friendly with everyone during her stay in kennels. Molly is good with other dogs but has not lived with a cat. She is fairly good on the lead, but her recall is not trained. She suffers with some separation anxiety and is used to sleeping in the bedroom. She is looking for someone who can be around at home most of the time.
