Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

LILY

LILY

Lily is an 18 month old Orange Roan show type Cocker. Her family have a toddler and have no time to give her the attention and exercise that she needs. Lily has a lovely temperament and is good with children, but she does suffer with separation anxiety problems. She will need a home where she will have company most of the time. She is used to cats and other dogs. She is excitable when on t he lead and her recall needs training. She travels quite well in the car.

HOGAN

HOGAN

Hogan is almost 8 years old and is a Blue Roan show type Cocker. He is a large Cocker who is quite overweight at present. Sadly, his owner is very ill in hospital and the owner's wife also has health issues. Hogie has not been exercised properly recently and has been over fed. He is being groomed prior to rehoming. Hogie is good with visiting children and lives next to a primary school - so is used to seeing them. He is used to living with an older female dog, but he would not put up with a bouncy pup. He is not used to cats. He is a very loving dog, but can be excitable and quite vocal. He pulls a bit on the lead. His recall is not too bad. He responds best to a whistle. Hogie can be left for short periods, but has always been with another dog. He travels well in t he car, but hasn't been on a long journey for some time.

POPPY (now Polly)

POPPY (now Polly)

Poppy is just turned 12 months old and is a Golden Cocker, who is possibly part show and part working type. A child in her family has developed an allergy to the dog-hair. She is good with children and other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. She has had teeth removed to correct an over shot jaw. Poppy is good on the lead and her recall is good most of the time. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

BONNIE (was Kim)

BONNIE (was Kim)

Kim is a 10 month old Golden show type Cocker. She was bought by an elderly lady who had her for a few days and realised she couldn't cope. When she arrived with CAESSR, Kim settled in and mixed well with the other dogs. She needs an experienced home with no children.

BILLY

BILLY

Billy is about 9 months old and is a Red show type Cocker. He has come to CAESSR via Dog Wardens as he was found straying. Billy has Entropion on both eyes and needs surgery. He is very good when eye-drops are administered and the surgery will be carried out shortly. Billy seems to be a friendly dog, but needs to be socialised more with other dogs as he can be a little wary.

JIMMY and CHOO

JIMMY and CHOO

Jimmy and Choo are two year old litter brothers and are Blue Roan show type Cockers. Their owners are emigrating to Africa, for work, and they would like the dogs to be homed together. Jimmy and Choo live happily with a 7 year old boy. They are friendly with other dogs outside the home, but have no experience of cats. They are used to being walked on Halti leads and will pull if on ordinary leads. Their recall is very good. They travel well in the car, but can be a bit excited at first. They can be left home alone for short periods.

GEORGE

GEORGE

George is an 8 year old Black and Tan American Cocker Spaniel. His owner is going back to work full-time, which will mean that he will be home alone for long hours. George is a lovely dog, who adores everyone and is very good with children. He is very gentle and has lived with another dog in the past. He has not lived with a cat, but would possibly be fine - he doesn't chase. George is good on the lead. His recall is brilliant - he won't loose you. He travels very well in the car and can be left home alone for a couple of hours.

HONEY

HONEY

Honey is a 7 year old Orange Roan show type Cocker. One of her owners is visually impaired and has been given a guide dog. Honey is jealous of the bond her owner has with the guide dog - so she needs a new home where she will get full attention. Honey is a lovely dog, who is used to children and is generally good with other dogs. She has not lived with a cat. She walks well on the lead and her recall is good, but she can occasionally have selective deafness. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
