Rehomed

Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

KASEY

Kasey is a 10.5 year old Black and White Springer. She has come to CAESSR as she was found straying. She seems to have a brilliant temperament and has had a full health check at our vets. She is a little over-weight, but has a shiny coat, is in very good health and has been well looked after. Kasey was friendly with everyone she met at the vets, including a child.

AMY

Amy is a 6 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker. She has lived in her present home for two years and was previously used for breeding. She doesn't like being left at home during the day and is very nervous. She is never left more than 4 hours, but can have accidents due to her separation anxiety. Amy is used to children and good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. When left home alone she has the run of the kitchen and the living room, but she sleeps in her basket in the bedroom at night. She is good on and off the lead and travels well in the car. CAESSR's experience tells us that Amy may benefit from the company of another dog.

BENSON

BENSON

Otis and Benson are Liver and White Springers. Otis is 9.5 years old and Benson is 8 years old. Their owner has a new job and he is away from home all the week. The family have a new baby and the dogs are not getting the walks and attention they deserve. They are spending all their time outside in the garden and are sleeping in the conservatory. Benson has always lived in the same home, but Otis was rescued by the family. The family would prefer them to be homed together, but they could be split if two lovely homes could be found. They are both very lively and obedient. Otis is very docile and good with children. Benson is OK with children, but can bark at them sometimes. Both pull a bit on the lead. Benson's recall is excellent and Otis will come back eventually. They have no cat experience. They haven't traveled much in the car. Benson is OK, but Otis has barked on short journeys.

Otis has now been rehomed by CAESSR so Benson is now looking for his new home. He is the larger of the two dogs in the photo and he pulls quite a lot on the lead. He can be a little naughty with the other dogs at our base as he sometimes nips their feet. He is looking for an experienced, firm owner.

DOLLAR

DOLLAR

Dollar is a 5.5 year old Black show type Cocker. He is quite a large Cocker and is a sturdy dog and he pulls a lot on the lead. He is good off lead, but needs a lot of running space as he likes to quarter the fields like a working Spaniel.  He needs a new home as his owners are working full-time and Dollar is barking endlessly - the neighbours are complaining. Dollar came over to live in the UK last summer from South Africa. In South Africa he had the company of an older female Staffie when left home alone. Dollar loves his toys, but can be protective over them. He doesn't like little children, but he is OK with teenagers. He is used to cats. He can growl at a new dog that he meets, but is great when he gets to know it. He travels OK in the car.

AXELL (was Alfie)

AXELL (was Alfie)

Alfie is a 10 month old Golden working type Cocker. His owner is starting treatment for Cancer and cannot give him the attention he deserves. Alfie is used to children. He is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He pulls a bit on the lead. His recall is already fairly good. He travels well in the car and is used to being left just for a couple of hours.

RILEY (was Mylo)

RILEY (was Mylo)

Mylo is a 2.5 year old Chocolate working type Cocker. He needs a new home as he is fighting with an older male dog in the home. He is good with other dogs outside the home, but we think that he would be best as the only pet in the home getting all the fuss and attention. He is not used to children and has not lived with a cat. Mylo is good on the lead. His recall may need a bit of work as he hasn't been off lead recently. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

TILLY

TILLY

Tilly is an 18 month old Liver and White working type Cocker. Her owner has been diagnosed with a dog allergy causing recurrent chest infections. Tilly is a very energetic dog. She has not lived with children, but is friendly towards all humans. She has not lived with a cat, but has lived with another dog. Tilly is good on and off the lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods, but has always been with another dog for company.

MISSY

MISSY

Missy is a 3 year old Liver and White Springer, whose owners are now disabled and unable to take her for the long walks that she needs. Missy is good with the visiting grandchildren and she is good with cats. However, she doesn't like little dogs and has taken a dislike to the owners' daughter's female springer. When out walking the owners put her lead back on when they see another dog. Missy pulls at first on the lead and is then better. Her recall is quite good and she will return to a whistle - but she can get distracted. She sleeps in the hallway. She travels well in the car and seems to be OK when left home alone, but has only ever been left for two hours.
