Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Paddy is in need of a very experienced home or temporary foster home.
Paddy is almost 6 years old and is a liver & white springer spaniel. Paddy was taken on by the owner as he was being neglected by her partners parents. Paddy showed unpredictable behaviour when his ears and paws were touched. He is also possessive over his food bowl when it is full. He pulls on the lead and his recall needs work. He travels well in the car. He does have some separation anxiety issues when left home alone but he doesn't destroy the home. Since being with CAESSR, one of our trustees and the kennel staff are gaining his trust. He is quite shy and as a result of his worry he will grumble to convey a warning. However, he is a lovely dog and has the potential to be a wonderful companion. We have secured behaviourist help via Crufts to help Paddy.
Hadley is a 2 year old liver & white springer. His owner took Hadley over from a family who were going through very traumatic times and they wanted to help. They have given him very good basic training but he needs a younger loving family to give him the life that he deserves. Hadley is used to children. He pulls on the lead and needs more recall training for off-lead. He travels well in the car and he can be left home alone for short periods.
Jessie is almost 10 years old and is a liver & white springer spaniel. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Jessie has only had experience with teenaged children. She has lived with cats in the past. She possibly needs to be the only dog in the home as she loves lots of fuss and attention. She pulls on the lead but has good recall. She travels well in the car.
