Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Lucky is approximately 5 years old. He is Liver and White with a docked tail. He was found wandering near a main road and was very frightened, but happy to be picked up by his rescuer and put into his car. He was very dirty and is very thin. He has a sore leg, which has possibly been caught in a trap. This is now being treated. In spite of all this he is the friendliest dog you could ever meet and he is now looking for a home. We don't know any of his history so he will be best housed with a family that does not have young children. He may need house training if he has been a working dog.
Jessie is a 10 month old small Golden Retriever pup. She was brought in to one of the kennels that we use as a boarder and never collected. As a favour to the owner of the kennels we have agreed to help find a home for her. She is good with other dogs and is quite nervous with people until she gets to know them. She is a very friendly and lively little dog.
Jazz is a 4 year old Liver and White Springer, with a full tail. She needs a new home as she is protective of baby twins in the family and is not letting the two year old child get near the babies! She will be OK to be homed with older children. She is used to cats and good with most other dogs, but can be a bit timid around some small dogs. She is very good off-lead and just pulls a bit on a halti lead. Before the babies were born she was going to agility and fly-ball classes and was very good and enjoyed it. She loves travelling in the car.
Jasper is a 5 year old, Liver and White Springer, who is more White than Liver. He is quite nervous at first when meeting new people and also when meeting new dogs. He has not lived with children, but he is used to sharing his home with a cat. He is house-trained and travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods. He is an obedient dog, who has basic good training and who doesn't jump on the furniture. He is good at the vets and also when being groomed. Jasper is tennis ball mad!!!
Sparky is a six months old Liver and White Springer. He has had two homes already in his short life. He has not lived with children or cats, but is good with other dogs. He is house trained and can be left for short periods. He pulls on the lead and his recall and commands need training. Sparky has quite a nervous personality.
Bailey is an 18 months old Chocolate and White working Cocker with a docked tail. He needs a new home as a child in the family is very ill. He is quite timid of people at first until he gets to know them. He is used to children and good with other dogs. He has not lived with a cat. Bailey likes to swim and can retrieve his own favourite ball. He is a mischievous lad who likes to pinch food out of shopping bags if given the chance! He is quite a clingy dog and suffers a bit with separation anxiety so needs someone who is around a lot of the time. He walks well on a halti lead and travels well in the car.
Dennis is an 18 month old, Liver and White Springer with his full tail. He needs a new home as he is fighting with another male Springer (his Dad) in his home. The owner has three young children and worries about them getting hurt when the dogs fight. Dennis has been living outside recently so may need to be re-house trained. He pulls on the lead but is very good off lead. He has lived with a cat, he is good with other dogs and has been around horses. He chases birds and has not seen sheep. He can be wary of men with beards and people with walking sticks. He hasn't been in a car recently but was OK when little.
Beau is a 6 year old Black and White Springer Cocker X. He is living in a home with four cats and he continually chases them and his owner cannot cope. He is a very active dog, who likes to play and he is good with children and other dogs. His recall is fairly good, but he can have selective deafness so may need a little more training. He travels well in the car, although excited at first.
