Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

SCOOBY

Scooby is an 11 week old Orange and White show type Cocker Puppy, whose owner realises that he has made a mistake in buying a puppy.

LUNA (was Lottie)

LUNA (was Lottie)

Lottie is a 5 month old golden working type cocker with white on her chest. Her family can't cope with her any more. Firstly, she wakes up very early in the morning - usually about 5 o'clock - and is ready to play. Also, the family have an older male cocker and Lottie pesters him all the time and he wants his own space. Lottie is used to teenage children. She is brilliant with other dogs outside the home. She hasn't lived with a cat. Her lead and recall training is already quite good. She travels well in the car.

RUBY

RUBY

Ruby is a small Liver and White Springer, who is approximately 15 months old. She is an unwanted dog - her owner just wanted to get rid of her. She has quite a timid personality. Ruby has been to the vets and is being treated for ear mites. Her back legs are a bit weak probably due to lack of exercise. She is socialising well with her foster carers Springers.

ROLO

ROLO

Rolo is an 8 year old Black and Tan large show type Cocker. His owner now has small grandchildren and Rolo is hard work as he is always scrounging for food. He pinches food off worktops and tables and from toddler's fingers. He doesn't like being left home alone very much and will bark. He also barks a lot to get attention. Rolo doesn't play with toys, but has a favourite old cushion that he carries around and he can be possessive with it. He lives with a female Labrador and is fine with her. He is not used to cats. He is OK on the lead and his recall is good, especially on the beach. When travelling he barks a little, but is OK if sitting beside you on the back seat. Rolo had an operation on his eye for entropian a couple of years ago. His eye still gets sticky occasionally. He has a few small skin lumps that have been tested and are benign.

Rolo has settled into our kennels very well and is becoming a lot less vocal. He likes to sit on your lap and put his feet on your shoulders to give you a hug!

MORGAN

Morgan is a 6 year old Liver and White Springer. He needs a new home as his owner has passed away. He is used to the owner's grandchildren and is very good with them. He is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He is good on and off the lead. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

LOTTIE (was Heidi)

Heidi is a 7 year old Black and White Springer. She needs a new home as her owner has now passed away. Heidi has a lovely personality and is quite a confident dog. She is used to children. She is good with other dogs and has lived with another dog. She has no cat experience. She is good on and off the lead. Heidi travels well in the car. As she belonged to an elderly couple she hasn't had much experience of being left home alone. She also had another dog for company.

TEDDY

TEDDY

Teddy is just 6 years old and is a Blue Roan show type Cocker. His owners are moving to a hot country and don't think that he should go with them. Teddy was badly treated as a puppy and still lacks confidence. He doesn't like his feet being touched, but his owners have trained him to give a paw for a treat and they give him lots of praise. He is good with the grandchildren when they visit, but he gets very upset when babies cry. He has no cat experience. Unfortunately, he has been attacked by an Alsation and had to have his ear sewn back. This left him terrified of other dogs. However, the owner's son's dog has come to stay and eventually after three days Teddy seemed to enjoy having the company. He is good on and off the lead, but he is not let off his lead if other dogs are around. He loves travelling in the car and can be left for short periods. Teddy is urgently looking for an experienced and understanding new home.

ROLO

ROLO

Rolo is a 21 month old large Liver and White Springer. His owner now has a back injury and cannot manage to walk Rolo as he pulls very strongly on the lead. He also needs his recall to be trained. Rolo is brilliant with children, but can knock over the little ones. He is used to cats and is good with other dogs. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
