Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

CHASE

CHASE

Chase is an 8 month old Liver and White Springer x Cocker, who looks more like a springer. He is a really energetic young dog. His owner has a new job, which means that Chase will need to be home alone all day. In the evening he is very good and will curl up at your feet and his owner has never used a cage. Chase is used to children and is good with other dogs. He hasn't lived with a cat. He pulls on the lead at the start of a walk and is then better and his recall training has been started. He still chews (e.g. door frames) when left home alone and he has only travelled short distances in the car.

TESSA

TESSA

Tessa is a 6 year old Blue roan working type Cocker. She is not getting the attention and exercise that she deserves. There is a young child in the family. Both owners' work patterns mean that Tessa is being left home alone far too long. Tessa is OK with the child. She is good with other dogs, when off lead, but doesn't look to play with them. She has not lived with a cat. She can pull a bit on the lead, however, her recall is excellent. She can be left for short periods. When travelling she is usually fine, but sometimes whines a little.

LOLA

LOLA

Lola is a 4 year old Golden show type Cocker. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. She now has to be left home alone for long hours while her owner is at work. She is a "people dog" and always wants to be next to her owner. She has not lived with another dog and is looking for a home where she will be the only dog. Lola lives with teenage children and with a cat, but can be nervous around other dogs, especially when she is on a lead. Lola is a greedy dog and will raid the bin and steal food if allowed. She pulls on the lead, but is OK if on a harness. She is not let off her lead if she is near water as she will jump in and chase ducks. She is kept on an extending lead if she is on the beach, however, her recall is good if she is in the woods. She tries to catch birds if in the garden. Lola travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.

CHARLIE

CHARLIE

Charlie is a 9 month old Chocolate working type Cocker. His owners' work hours have changed, which means that Charlie needs to be left home alone in his cage most of t he day. Charlie is a lovely puppy, who really loves other dogs and wants to play. He hasn't lived with children and has no experience with cats. He pulls a lot on the lead. His recall training is going well and he comes back most of the time. He travels well in the car.

JACK (was Jakey)

JACK (was Jakey)

Jakey is a 3.5 year old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is currently being left home alone for most of the day, which is not fair. Jakey is used to teenaged children. He is brilliant with cats and is good with other dogs. He is good on and off the lead and travels well in the car.

MUFFIN

MUFFIN

Muffin is a 6 year old Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Muffin is used to the new baby in the house. She is good with other dogs outside the home. She has also lived with a cat. Muffin can be a bit food protective. She pulls on the lead, but is better on a harness. Her recall is brilliant. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

MURPHY

MURPHY

Murphy is a 2 year old Black Cocker x Poodle. His family have a young child, who Murphy tolerates and they are expecting a second child soon, so don't have the time to give Murphy the time that he deserves. Murphy is good with other dogs, but he hasn't lived with a cat. He can be a little timid when meeting new people. He is good on and off the lead. He can be left home alone for a couple of hours. He has free roam of the downstairs of the house. He sleeps in his crate, but he is not shut in it. He travels well in the car.

TOBY

TOBY

Toby is an 8 months old Blue Roan working type Cocker. The owners' work hours have changed and  they can no longer give him the time and training he needs. Toby has growled at the 2 year old child in the family. We suspect that he is jealous as he just wants lots of cuddles from his owners. He has no cat experience. He loves to play with other dogs and is quite submissive with them. He pulls a lot on the lead. He used to be good when off lead, but now he is not reliable as he wants to sniff out scents and play with other dogs. He travels well in the car. If left home alone he can be destructive, chewing wires and paperwork etc.
