Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Charlie is a 20 month old black working type cocker with a white bib. The owners have five grandchildren the youngest being 3 years old. Charlie plays with them but he can growl and snap at them. He has never bitten. Charlie is OK with other dogs but doesn't like very young ones jumping over him. He possibly needs to be the only dog in the home. Charlie has no cat experience. He can be a bit naughty destroying the post. He walks quite well on the lead and has had some training classes. He is walked using a harness. He needs more training for off lead. He can be left for short periods. He travels OK but can whine initially.
Bryn is a 10 year old liver & white springer. He needs a new home as his owner has sadly passed away. In the past he has had some gun-dog training. Bryn is a friendly boy but he hasn't had contact with children. He is good with other dogs but has not lived with a cat. He is still a very lively boy who likes to carry a ball around and he can retrieve. He loves his toys. He also loves his food and he will re-call very well if you have a treat to offer. He pulls strongly on the lead. He is house trained and lives inside. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.
Dizzie is an 8 month old liver & white springer who needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Dizzie is used to children and is good with other dogs. She has not lived with a cat. She pulls on the lead. Her recall training is already good. She travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
Rosie is a 3 1/2 year old liver & white springer. She needs a new home as her family have to relocate to Australia due to work commitments. Rosie is used to older children. She is good around other dogs and has lived with a cat. She pulls a little on the lead at the start of a walk. Her recall is excellent. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Badger is a 7 month old black working type cocker with white on his chest. His owners feel that they made a mistake getting another dog. Badger barks at cats and they are terrified of him. He is used to children. He pulls on the lead. He is very good off-lead and loves to play with their other dog. He travels well in the car.
Rosie is a 12 1/2 year old black & white springer spaniel. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances and is being left home alone for very long hours. Rosie is still a lively springer who is fantastic with children. She can be a little wary when meeting new people but soon makes friends. She is good with other dogs. Rosie lives with a cat and barks at him if he goes near her food. She pulls a little on the lead. She is good when off lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Poppy is approximately 4 years old (she may be a little older) and she is a chocolate working type cocker with a little white on her nose and chest. She was rescued last autumn from a breeder by an older couple. Poppy was in a terrible state with sore ears and full of lice. The couple had her spayed and nursed her back to full health, house trained her and socialized her with their two dachshunds. They can't keep her as they are both disabled. Poppy has a lovely personality. She hasn't really met children or cats. She doesn't really know how to play. She is OK on the lead but will struggle to run if she hears a loud bang. If off lead, she will return to get a treat. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
Lexi is a 6 year old golden show type cocker with white markings and Molly is a 5 1/2 year old chocolate working type cocker. The pair have lived happily together since they were puppies. They need a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Both love their cuddles and Lexi is quite a needy dog. She is a little shy and looks to Molly for support. Both are patient around younger children. They are used to other dogs and cats. Both are good on and off the lead. They travel well in the car and can be left for short periods.
