Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Jewel is a 7 year old blue roan show type cocker. She has only lived with her present owners for the last 3 years. Previously, she had been used for breeding. Jewel has quite a nervous personality and she barks a lot. She hasn't had any contact with children. She doesn't know how to play. She can bark at other dogs when on walks. She is scared if they come too close to her. She barks at ladders and is scared of loud noises. Jewel is lovely with the owner's elderly Mum. She pulls a bit when on lead. However, her recall is good. She doesn't enjoy travelling very much. She can be left for short periods. Jewel is recovering at present from having a pyometra.
Sooty is almost 12 months old and is a large black working type Cocker. In his short life, he has already had two homes. Sooty is a very energetic dog and his second home already had an elderly blind Cocker and a deaf Jack Russell and Sooty was far too rough with them but wanted to play. Sooty can also be possessive with things he shouldn't have and has growled at people but he can be distracted in order to remove the item. He hasn't lived with children and has no experience with cats. He pulls on the lead. His recall needs lots more work. He will come back eventually. Sooty travels well in the car. He has only been left home alone for one hour at the most and was left in the kitchen with a baby gate across the kitchen doorway.
