Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

COOPER

COOPER

Cooper is a 15 month old Liver & White Springer Spaniel. He has come to CAESSR as his owner is struggling to meet his needs. Cooper is an amazing dog and he is very good around the owner's 5 year old twins. However, both twins are autistic and one of them sometimes hits and pinches him. Till now, Cooper hasn't reacted but it isn't fair for Cooper. Cooper is a very excitable dog who loves fuss and attention and to always be close to his owner. He loves other dogs but has no cat experience. He pulls on the lead and is best on a figure of eight lead. His recall is OK but he has selective deafness if following a scent. He also can shadow chase. He travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.

BETSY

BETSY

Betsy is a 6 1/2 year old black show type cocker spaniel. Her owners have another female cocker spaniel and the two girls are fighting. Betsy is very jealous of any attention given to the other spaniel. She needs to be the only dog in the home. Betsy is used to older children. She is generally good with other dogs outside the home but she hasn't lived with a cat. She is good on and off the lead but care is needed if there are very young dogs around. Betsy loves her ball and she loves muddy puddles! She is good at the vets and groomers but she doesn't like her nails being clipped. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

TROOPER (was Henry)

TROOPER (was Henry)

Henry is a 6 month old ginger/red colour working type cocker spaniel puppy who needs a new home. The young couple who purchased him didn't realize the attention a young cocker spaniel requires. Henry is hyperactive, playful with other dogs and he loves swimming.

ELLIE

ELLIE

Ellie is a 4 1/2 year old blue roan show type cocker who needs a new home as her elderly and disabled owners can no longer look after her. Ellie can be a little nervous when first meeting new people. She is used to children. She is good with other dogs. She pulls a bit when on the lead and her recall will need work when she is off lead. She loves her ball and she loves muddy puddles! Ellie travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.
