Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

COCO

COCO

Coco is a 4 year old Chocolate Labrador X, who was born in Hong Kong. Her family have moved back to Hong Kong for work and decided at the last minute not to take her back with them, although her Pet Passport was all prepared. She has a lovely nature, good with children and other dogs. She is brilliant on and off the lead. Coco is quite over-weight due to lack of exercise.

BARNEY

BARNEY

Barney is a 6 year old Black and White Springer, who is more Black than White. He is really sociable with other dogs and has lived with a cat in the past. He has seen sheep and cattle when out walking on a lead. He needs a new home as his family have a crawling baby and another small child and he is growling at the children. Barney is house trained and can be left happily for short periods. He pulls on the lead. His recall is good but he can be selectively deaf at first, with excitement. Barney has hip displacia so will not be able to be involved in very vigorous exercise. He really loves travelling in the car. Barney has been to our vet, who has checked his hip displacia. He doesn't need any medication, at present, however, CAESSR will be able to help with the cost of this treatment if necessary.

CHARLIE (now Joey)

CHARLIE (now Joey)

Charlie is a 3 1/2 year old golden retriever who is now an unwanted pet. He was brought into one of our boarding kennels while his family was on holiday. On return, the owner asked if anyone would give Charlie a new home.

He is a big softie who has lived with children and is good with other dogs. We are not sure what he is like with cats or whether he has been around livestock. He is good on the lead and is generally good off lead although can suffer with selective deafness if something takes his attention. He is house trained and has come from a home where he was not left for long periods.

DIXON

DIXON

Dixon is a 6 month old Black and White Springer. He is house trained and sleeps inside and can be left for short periods. He is good with children, but boisterous and is OK with other dogs. He pulls on the lead. His recall is quite good for his age and he understands some basic voice commands. The family now have a young baby and can't give Dixon the attention and exercise he needs.

DAISY

DAISY

Daisy is almost 6 months old and is an Apricot and White Cocker Spaniel pup. Her family cannot cope with her boisterous behaviour, so she needs a new home. Daisy is house trained and has been to puppy classes. She had bad food agression, which has now been worked on and she needs an experienced home who can continue with the training already achieved.

KAYLA

KAYLA

Kayla is a 12 year old Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel, who needs a new home as her owners are moving into sheltered accommodation. Her present owners have had her for the last five years and are very sad to have to part with her. Kayla is a very placid dog, excellent with children and she can be left alone for short periods. She is in good health - her only recent medical problem was to have a few teeth removed.

MOLLY

MOLLY

Molly is a 2½ year old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. She is good with children and other dogs. Her commands are trained to a whistle and she has a very good recall. She pulls on  the lead and will chase birds. Molly is very over-weight and will need to be on a diet and with an exercise regime that builds up gradually. She is very good in the c ar but hates being groomed.

CLYDE

CLYDE

Clyde is a 6 year old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home as his owner works and leaves Clyde outside in the day-time and he is barking and causing a problem with the neighbours. He is a terrific dog, who loves human company. He is house trained and a little over-weight. He travels well in the car. He is not used to very little children, but he is OK with cats and has lived with another dog. He pulls on the lead. His recall is good and he loves to play ball.
