Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

TOBY

TOBY

Toby is an 8 year old Liver and White Springer. He has always lived with the same family, but he has recently nipped a three year old child, who tried to get him off his bed. Toby likes company and to be walked. He loves other dogs and is used to cats. He is not keen on being brushed. He loves chasing a ball, but doesn't give it back easily. He needs a quieter home away from young children and with more company in the daytime. Toby is quite good on the lead and very good when off lead. He can be left for short periods. His family take him out in the car quite a bit, but he is not a huge fan!

SIRIUS

SIRIUS

Sirius is just twelve months old and is a Black and White Springer X Cocker. He needs a new home due to a change in circumstances - his owner needs to work full time. Sirius loves retrieving a ball and is a natural hunter. He is extremely boisterous and needs lots of stimulation e.g. agility, flyball or gundog training. He is used to children and has lived with a cat. He is good with other dogs. Sirius is good on and off the lead, but doesn't like wearing his collar. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

TOBY

TOBY

Toby is a 7 month old Black & White Springer pup. His owner cannot give him the time and attention that he deserves. He is being left home alone in his crate for long periods. Toby is a very lively puppy who is used to children. He is house trained. He is good when walked on a harness, and if off-lead he returns as soon as his name is called. He travels well in the car.

BEN

BEN

Ben is a 6 year old Liver and White Springer. He is in urgent need of a new home as his family are exhausted. Ben has developed a habit of waking up at about 3-4am and barking. Ben likes lots of fuss and attention. He is good with children. He has not lived with a cat. He walks well on a halti lead, but his recall needs some more training. He is also used to going to doggy day-care. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods. Ben has now been with CAESSR for several weeks and is very quiet early morning. We think his habit of waking early has been sorted out. He is brilliant in our kennels and is, at present, looking after a nervous little female. He needs a home where there is another dog for company.

LOLA

LOLA

Lola is an 11 week old Black & White Springer puppy who needs a new home as the young child in the family is afraid of her. Lola has been in a CAESSR foster home while her vaccinations have been completed and to socialize her with other dogs. She is a confident little pup.

POSY (was Poley)

POSY (was Poley)

Poley is a 7 month old Liver and White Springer. Her family have moved to Switzerland and although they had planned to take Poley with them their accommodation doesn't allow them to have a dog. Poley has a slightly nervous disposition and hasn't been socialised much with other pets. She will let you put her lead on if their is a treat available and her recall training has been started. She is a little frightened of car travel.

HARVEY

HARVEY

Harvey is a 12 month old Golden working type Cocker. He needs a new home as his owners have a young grand-son, who visits and Harvey is very aggressive with food and his belongings. He also steals his owners possessions and won't give them back. Harvey is looking for a very experienced home with no children. He has not lived with a cat, but is good with other dogs and he is behaving very well at our kennels with the other dogs. He may be best in a home where there is an older well behaved dog for him to play with and learn from. Harvey can have an occasional accident, but is generally house trained. He pulls on the lead, but is better on a halti, although he doesn't like it. His recall is good. Harvey needs a home where he would be given lots of stimulation outdoors.

RUFUS (was Elvis)

RUFUS (was Elvis)

Elvis is a 4½ year old small Black show type Cocker. He has come to CAESSR after being with his present owners for only four weeks. He has no major problems - just slight food aggression that they have been correcting. The lady of the house has bonded very well with Elvis, however, the young teenager doesn't like him and Elvis has nipped her thumb over a food issue. Due to this he may be best homed where there are no children. Elvis is a very well behaved dog, who is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He pulls a little on the lead, but will take correction. He is quite good off lead and won't loose you. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
