POLEDRE & BELDERAN (were Ronny & Roxy)

POLEDRE & BELDERAN (were Ronny & Roxy)

Ronny and Roxy are 2 year old litter sisters. They are Black and White, very bonded and are looking for a new home together. They are quite small. Their Dad is a show type Cocker and their Mum is part Springer. Their family don't have the time to give them the life that they deserve. They don't fight and neither is more dominant than the other. They are used to children. They are good with other dogs and live with three cats. They are also used to being around horses. Ronny and Roxy are good on and off the lead. They travel well in the car. They sleep in the kitchen, but live outside during the day and are OK if left for short periods. They have just been groomed. The photo is of Ronny.

JERRY

JERRY

Jerry is a 10 year old fairly large Liver and White Springer. His owners have moved house and Jerry doesn't have a garden. He also is not getting his walks as his owners are now working long hours. Jerry is used to children of all ages. He is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He pulls on the lead, but is more manageable on a halti lead. His recall is good, but he can suffer with selective deafness at times. He has a few fatty lumps and bumps and had dental surgery last year to remove some teeth. His owners give him soft food and don't give him treats. He is an excitable traveller - knowing he is going somewhere good and can be left for short periods.

MARLEY

MARLEY

Marley will be 6 years old in July and is a Liver and White Springer. His owners have moved into new accommodation where the landlord doesn't allow dogs. Marley has always lived with small children. We feel that he would appreciate a new home where there are no children or just older teenagers. He is good with other dogs outside the home and has not lived with a cat and will chase them. He can pull initially on the lead with excitement. His recall is good. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods and he is fine as long as the radio is on.

Marley is a lovely dog, but he cannot be homed with cats.

COMET

COMET

Comet is a 7 month old Liver and White Springer. His owner has started a new job that has very long hours and Comet is too young to be left home alone for more than an hour. He starts to bark and chew his bedding. Comet has not yet been socialised with children. He hasn't lived with a cat. He is fine with other dogs when he is out walking. He pulls a lot on the lead. He is very good when off-lead. He loves running and will come back when called or to a whistle. He travels well in the car.

BUSTER

BUSTER

Buster is approximately 2.5 years old and is a large White show type Cocker with Black patches. His owners work hours have changed, which means that Buster is left for long periods on his own, which is not fair. Buster is good with visiting nieces and nephews. He has no cat experience. He loves other dogs and when off lead he runs to them to play. He is not always good when off lead so his recall will need work. He pulls sometimes when on the lead. Buster loves his food and spins with excitement when his food is coming. He also has a bad scavenging habit and when out walking will pick up and eat anything he finds including bits of wood. He travels very well and is good when left home alone. Buster is visiting an eye specialist to be tested for PRA.

Buster's eyes are fine, but he has behavioural issues that need assessment. He may have a neurological problem.

SAM

SAM

Sam is about 4/5 years old and is a Liver and White Springer. He was found straying and taken to a local vet. He seems to have a lovely personality and is good with our foster carer's grandchildren. Sam has a very bad skin infection caused by fleas and is being treated. He will walk to heel and is good when off lead.

OSCAR

OSCAR

Oscar is a 2 year old Liver and White Springer. His owners both work full time and they are unable to give him the exercise and attention that he needs. One of his owners has a shoulder injury and Oscar pulls a lot on the lead. Oscar hasn't socialised much with children but is friendly when meeting them on walks. He lives with another Springer, but is bossy with him and steals his chews and toys. He also barks at other dogs when out walking. He is never aggressive. He has not lived with a cat. His recall is good, but he is not let off his lead unless there are no other dogs around as his owners worry. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods, but has always had the other dog for company.

Oscar is behaving very well at our kennels and is socialising with the other dogs. He is a lovely boy.

HEIDI

HEIDI

Heidi is a 6 year old Black working type Cocker with White on her chest, chin and paws. Sadly , her owner has recently passed away. Heidi has not lived with children, but is friendly when meeting them on walks. She is good with other dogs. She is a typical working type dog, who is very active and will chase cats. If off lead she will chase and catch birds and rabbits. Her recall needs a lot more work. She will walk properly on a short lead, but will run around at the full length of a retractable lead. Heidi is an opportunist if food is around! She is mostly good when left home alone. She can bark sometimes. She travels quietly in the car, but is reluctant to get in a travel cage as her owner was involved in a crash a few years ago.
