Rehomed

Fred is almost 8 years old and is a large golden show type cocker spaniel. His owner is a nurse who works night shifts and Fred suffers with separation anxiety when left home alone - he barks and howls. He is a little wary of men until he gets to know them. He is used to teenaged children and is good around other dogs but he hasn't lived with a cat. Fred is best walked using a harness as he pulls a little and his recall is good sometimes. He travels well in the car.

Bonnie is a 14 month old chocolate working type cocker spaniel. Her mother was a cockerpoo and her father a cocker. Her owner is a single person who needed to leave Bonnie home alone for far too long periods. Bonnie is a very active dog who may need to be in an environment with another dog for play and stimulation. She is still "puppy mouthing" so is in need of an experienced home. She is good with other dogs and has lived with a cat. She has no experience with children. She is quite good on the lead but has never been off lead. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

Skye is a 4 year old black & tan working type cocker spaniel. She needs a new home as her elderly owner is poorly and can no longer look after her. She doesn't get on with the owner's sons dogs so she has come to CAESSR and is possibly looking for a home where she will be the only dog. Skye hasn't had much contact with children and she cannot live with a cat. She is good on the lead and wears a harness but her recall may need more work. She travels well in the car. She doesn't like crates. She can be left home alone for a couple of hours. Skye is possessive with her toys. She will retrieve a ball and drop it at your feet but it is difficult to get it from her mouth. She will need an experienced home.

Jack is a 9 1/2 year old black & white Springer Spaniel x Cocker Spaniel. He needs a new home as he suffers with separation anxiety when left home alone while his owners are at work. Jack is good with the child in the family but he needs more activity and stimulation which will be difficult for the family as a new baby is expected soon. Jack is a happy dog who would love to be able to live with another dog for company and for play. He hasn't lived with a cat. Jack pulls on the lead but is best walked using a"figure of eight" lead. His recall is good especially if he has his ball. He travels well in the car.

Teddy is a 7 month old working type golden cocker spaniel. His owner took Teddy from her Nan who couldn't cope and Nan's older dog wouldn't tolerate a puppy. His owner has two small children and she is expecting a third child and she also can't manage Teddy. We were told that Teddy had a slight heart murmur but after a visit to our vet, we realize that his heart murmur is so serious he may not have long to live. Teddy will soon have a scan to see if surgery is possible. He is at present in temporary foster care and is good with other dogs and is good with children. He can walk nicely on the lead. CAESSR is looking for a lovely home for Teddy if surgery is possible OR  a loving foster home for him for the rest of his possibly short life.

Blue is a 5 year old Liver & white springer. He suffers with separation anxiety. His owners both work long hours and on their home camera, can see that Blue spends his time pacing and doesn't settle. Blue is fantastic with children. He is OK around other dogs and has no experience with cats. He pulls on the lead and is better using a harness or a figure of eight lead. He can suffer with "selective deafness" when off lead if he catches a scent to follow. Blue is a bit overweight but he travels well in the car.

Buddy Beau is a 6 year old chocolate working type cocker. Buddy has always been a fairly anxious dog but since the arrival of a baby last year, he barks a lot and shows his teeth when the baby is being fed. The baby is now crawling and Buddy is getting worse - especially as the two are kept separate. The family also have an older child who was already in the family when Buddy arrived. They also have a Jack Russel male who is 3 years old. Buddy is fine with the older child and with the other dog. Buddy is very shy meeting new people. He is OK with other dogs if they accept him and he lives with a cat. He sleeps in his crate with the door open. He pulls on the lead but is better on a harness and his recall is poor. Buddy gets stressed on car journeys but is OK when left home alone for an hour or two.

Henry is a 19 month old chocolate working type cocker with a little white on his chest. He needs a new home due to his owners change in work hours, meaning that Henry needs to be left home alone for long hours and he has separation anxiety issues. He lives with a child and is used to cats. Henry pulls a bit on the lead and is brilliant when off lead. He travels well in the car.
