Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

SID

SID

Sid is an 8 year old Black and White Springer. He is a lovely boy, who needs a new home as his owner is now working long hours. He is used to children of all ages and is also used to living with a cat. Sid is good with other dogs, but doesn't like Black Labradors. He has a very good recall and is not used to being walked much on a lead - as he comes from a very rural area, where he has also met livestock. He travels well in the car. Sid loves to play ball, but he is afraid of thunder and fireworks. He comes from the same home as Alfie and the two can be homed together or separately.

BASHFUL

BASHFUL

Bashful is Tri-Colour (Black and White with Liver markings). We are guessing that he is three years old. He earned his name as he is quite shy when first meeting new people. He steps back and peeps at you around a door. He is good with other dogs and loves to play ball. He will need house training.(Neglect case dog.)

BAILEY

BAILEY

Bailey is a 3 year old Liver and White Springer with his full tail. He needs a new home as he keeps escaping from his garden and chasing the sheep in the adjoining field. His owners are unable to heighten their fence. Bailey is good with children of all ages. He lives with a cat and another dog and he is good with them. He is used to being amongst horses. Bailey is house trained and lives inside and can be left for short periods. He pulls a bit on the lead and his recall needs training. His owners have found this difficult as he is not motivated by food. He can retrieve a ball and travels well in the car.

BEN

BEN

Ben is a 4½ month old Black and White Springer/Cocker X,who looks more Springer than Cocker. His family cannot cope with his high energy level. He is used to children and cats and is good with other dogs. He is used to sleeping in a cage. He pulls on the lead and his recall needs training.

INDIE

INDIE

Indie is a 9 year old Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel. She needs a new home as her owner needs to move into sheltered accommodation. She is very good with children of all ages, but has not lived with a cat. She can be quite jealous if her owner makes a fuss of another dog. She has seen livestock, but has been kept on the lead. Indie is good on and off the lead and travels well in the car.

PIPPA

PIPPA

Pippa is almost 2 years old and is a Springer / Cocker X. She is mainly Black with White markings and looks more like a Cocker than a Springer. She needs a new home as she is extremely jealous of a new baby in the family. She has had a litter of pups. She is house trained and used to sleeping in the utility room and can be left for short periods. She lives happily with two cats and is good with other dogs and has seen livestock. She is good on and off the lead and responds to voice commands and to a whistle when off-lead. She is good in the car.

LADY (now Lulu)

LADY (now Lulu)

Lady is approximately 8 years old and is Liver and White. She was quite grumpy when she arrived with us, but once settled in was found to be friendly and was the first of the dogs to understand what a comfy bed was for and she now loves her bed. She has a poorly eye and an arthritic hip. The hip does not appear to bother her much, but she has had very lttle life or exercise to judge. Her eye problem may be a cataract.(Neglect case dog.)

BONNIE

BONNIE

Bonnie is a 5 year old Golden Retriever, who we have been asked to rehome as her owner has recently passed away. She is a very placid dog, chunky in appearance, possibly due to lack of exercise and she has had a couple of litters of pups in the past. She is a gentle dog, good with children, other dogs and cats. She has a good recall, but pulls a bit on the lead. Bonnie has been an outside dog, so may need some house training, but she is very clean in her kennel.
