Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Riley is a 4 ½ year old black and tan show type Cocker. He has started to snap and growl at the children that he lives with and seems to need more attention. He also doesn't like being left home alone while his family are at work. He is good with other dogs but has not lived with a cat. He walks very well on the lead but his owners have never trained him for off lead exercise. He travels well in the car.
Charlie is just 4 years old and is a Black and White Sprocker. He has bitten a visting 11 year old child and now the children in his family are frightened of him. Charlie is a very loyal dog, who is great with other dogs and cats. He loves to do a lot of walking and is good on the lead only pulling a bit. He is fantastic off lead and will come back as soon as he is called. He can be left home alone for short periods and he travels well in the car.
Bobby is a 12 month old Black show type Cocker, who needs a new home as his family can't cope with two small children and a young dog. Their working hours mean that Bobby is not getting the attention he deserves. Bobby loves children and can get very excited when meeting new people. He loves other dogs and doesn't understand when other dogs growl at him if they don't want to play. He has not lived with a cat. He pulls a lot on the lead and his recall needs a bit more training - he will come back in his own time. He travels very well in the car.
Libby is a 3 year old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home as her owner is moving into rented accommodation, where she can't keep a dog. Libby has been living happily with an elderly male Springer, but she does bark at other dogs outside the home. On a recent visit to the vets, she stopped barking when told to be quiet. She is good with children of all ages, but has not lived with a cat. Libby is quite good on the lead and her recall is very good - call her name and clap and she will return. She travels well in the car.
Spot is a 10 year old Black and White show type Cocker, who needs a new home as his owner is seriously ill. Spot is brilliant with children of all ages and is good with other dogs. He has not lived with cats. He pulls a bit on the lead but his recall is very good. His house training has lapsed a bit as his owner couldn't get to the door to let him out and he is a bit over-weight. He has been suffering recently with a dry eye condition. He travels well in the car. Spot likes to pick up and carry around under-wear!!
Buddy is a 3 year old Liver and White Springer. He was handed in at a local pound and has come to CAESSR for rehoming. Our kennel manager has reported that he has a lovely personality. He is very obedient and we are told that he is good with children. He travels very well in the car.
Bonnie is a 9 year old Orange Roan Cocker Spaniel. Bonnie has reoccurring ear problems and she drags her ears on carpets - not hygienic when there is a young grandchild around. She is good with children and lives with two other dogs. She barks at cats in the garden. Bonnie can still pull on the lead at times, but is good when off lead. She can be left home alone for short periods and travels well in the car.
Jasmine & Ben are two Springers who have come to us for rehoming as a bonded pair via Wood Green Animal Shelter. We are told they came over from Ireland together. Jasmine is about 1 year old and black and white and Ben is 3 years old and liver and white. We know nothing of their history but they seem to be pleasant dogs. Ben loves to play with a ball.
