Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Ollie is a 5 year old Black and White Springer, who needs a new home as his owner is working long hours. Ollie and his litter brother Oscar are left in the garden and have become very unpopular with the neighbours as they break through the fence and chase the cats and have injured one and have killed chickens. They have been working as a pack and hence need to be rehomed separately. Ollie is a lovely natured lad, who has his Kennel Club Silver Award. He is used to children (9 years upwards) and is very well socialised with other dogs. He pulls on the lead and his recall is very good with his owner. He is house trained and sleeps in the hall at night.
Sadie is a 4½ year old Golden Labrador Retriever, who needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. She is good with children of all ages. She is good with cats and other dogs. She is house trained and is used to sleeping inside and can be left happily for short periods. Sadie is good on and off the lead and she travels well in the car.
Ivy is a tall, slender, 5 year old Black and White Springer. She needs a new home as she is fighting with another female Springer in her family. Ivy is good with children. She has lived with a cat - but the the cat stood up to Ivy! She will give chase and has caught a chicken and she will need to be kept on lead near livestock. She tends to ignore other dogs that she meets outside the home. Ivy likes to dig in the garden and will play ball. She understands basic commands and will come back to name, if off lead. She travels very well in the car. She is a very affectionate dog, who loves people.
Jake is a 6 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker with Tan markings. He has come to Caessr from a local dog pound, where he was handed in with another dog. He is a very friendly boy, who is good with children and other dogs. He travels well in the car and has beautiful markings.
Bobby is a 15 month old Black working type Cocker. His owners are now working full time and Bobby is left shut in his cage a good part of the day. He is house trained and used to living with a toddler. He is OK with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. He travels well in the car. He pulls on the lead, but his recall is quite good for a young dog.
Monty is a 9 year old Liver and White Springer, more Liver than White. He has come to CAESSR for re-homing with his companion Max, due to a change in family circumstances. Ideally Monty and Max need a home together, but if separated, they may need another dog for company. Recently, these boys have been left extremely long hours, shut in the kitchen and deserve much better for their latter years as they are lovely natured boys. Both are good with children of all ages. They are good with other dogs, but have not lived with a cat. Monty is very over-weight. We feel he ate most of the food when they were left alone! They still pull a bit on the lead. They have good recalls and they are trained to voice and whistle. They travel well in the car and both need some grooming.
Oscar is a 5 year old Liver and White Springer, who needs a new home as his owner is working long hours. Oscar and his litter brother Ollie are left in the garden and have become very unpopular with the neighbours as they break through the fence and chase the cats and have injured one and have killed chickens. They have been working as a pack and hence need to be rehomed separately. Oscar is a lovely natured lad, who has his Kennel Club Silver Award. He is used to children (9 years upwards) and is very well socialised with other dogs. He pulls on the lead and his recall is very good with his owner. He is house trained and sleeps in the hall at night.
Jus is a small Springer of about 4-5 years old. She is possibly a Red and White Welsh Springer, who has come to us from a local pound as she was found wandering. She seems to be a friendly girl, who travels well in the car. We don't know any more of her history.
