Rehomed

Darcie is a 7 year old tri-colour show type cocker. Her family now have young children and feel that they are not able to give her the attention that she requires. Darcie is an affectionate dog who is used to children and other dogs. She is good on the lead. She hasn't had much off-lead practice but is good in a quiet field or beach. She travels well in the car and can be left for a short period but can get a little anxious.

Megan is approximately 11 or 12 years old and is a liver & white Springer. She has come to CAESSR from an elderly couple where in recent times she has not been given the attention and medical care that she needs and deserves. Megan used to be a very loyal working gundog and has lived outside in a kennel and was much loved. However, she deserves a loving cosy retirement home. Megan had an enormous mammary lump that has now been removed. She also had a chewed up tennis ball inside her that also needed to be removed. She is recovering well in a temporary foster home. Megan is looking for a permanent home fairly close to our base as she still needs dental surgery. She has a lovely personality and is good with other dogs. She is being house trained in her foster home. She travels well in the car.

Marley is a 3 year old liver & white Springer with his full tail. He was bought as a puppy by the owner's son as he wanted to go beating with on the local shoot. The son lost interest and Marley has been living in an outside kennel with a German Shepherd dog who was eating most of the food. Marley has come to CAESSR. He is a little thin and may need some house training. He is very friendly. He pulls a lot initially on the lead. He travels well in the car and was good at the vets. He is a typical young energetic Springer.

Molly is an 8 year old Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home as her owner has moved into accommodation where he can't keep a dog. Molly is a lovely dog who is used to children. She has lived with another dog. She has lived with a cat for a short time in her early life but she will chase cats that come into her garden. She pulls initially on the lead. Her recall is good. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

Hendrix is a 5 year old black working type cocker. He needs a new home as his owner has sadly passed away. The owner's family cannot keep him as they have young children and Hendrix is too boisterous. He will be fine with older children. The family also have other dogs and Hendrix doesn't get on with them. He needs to be fed separately. Hendrix is used to being an only dog receiving all the fuss and attention from the elderly owner. He also has not been left home alone very much and can get anxious and bark a little. He has lived with a cat and used to sleep on his owner's bed. He pulls a lot on the lead. His recall is excellent. He travels well in the car.

Milo is a 5 year old liver & white springer spaniel. He was sent to live with the owner's parents as he had bitten the child in the family. We are not sure of the circumstances. The owner's parents found it difficult to manage an active springer so he was handed in at the local vets. Milo has no cat experience. He may be best homed as the only dog in the family although he has been walked with other dogs since arriving with CAESSR. Milo is good on the lead and is usually walked using a harness. He has brilliant recall. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

Colette is a French Field Spaniel who looks like a blue roan show type cocker. We think she may be 14 years old - but she may be younger! She has come to CAESSR via the local dogs home as her owner has recently passed away. Colette is a lovely dog who has been groomed and bathed and behaved very well when taken to our vets. Her heart is good. She has had two teeth removed and her ears needed to be flushed out and cleaned. She is good with children and with other dogs but she is not good with a cat or with ducks. She travels well in the car on her visits to the vets. She is looking for a very special retirement home.
