Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

WATSON

WATSON

Watson is just 7 years old and is a large Liver and White working Cocker. The owner's work has changed and he is away from home a lot and cannot give him the attention he deserves. Watson and his litter brother have always been kept in an outside kennel and are both fully trained working gun dogs. They are house trained. They have recently been brought into the house for company and the boys started to fight - injuring one another - so Watson needs a new home. Watson loves human company and is good with children. He hasn't lived with a cat. He is trained to the whistle and would make any prospective owner proud.

SADIE

SADIE

Sadie is an 8 year old Gold show type Cocker, who needs a new home as her family have a new baby and they feel that she needs someone who can give her more time and attention. Sadie is a lively dog, who wants to play all the time and would be OK with another dog to play with. She has no experience with children, but is a very loving dog. She has not lived with a cat. She is quite good on the lead, but is excited at first and pulls. Her recall is OK, but she hasn't been taken out recently to places where she can be off lead. She travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

HOLLY and SWEEP

HOLLY and SWEEP

Holly and Sweep are mother and daughter. Holly is a 4 year old Golden working type Cocker and Sweep is a Black Springer / Cocker X, who is almost 1 year old. Their owner has had to move back home with her parents, who already have two dogs. Holly and Sweep are being kept in her bedroom while she is at work and this isn't fair. Holly is good with other dogs and is used to children and cats and she is a very placid dog. Sweep is a playful dog, who is good with other dogs but hasn't lived with children or cats. Both dogs are good on and off the lead. Both travel well in the car as long as they haven't been recently fed.

OLLIE

OLLIE

Ollie is an 8 year old Blue Roan show type Cocker. He needs a new home as his owner is moving into rented accommodation where dogs are not allowed. Ollie is good with children and other dogs. He has not lived with a cat. He is good on and off the lead. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

BETTY

BETTY

Betty is a 3½ year old Springer / Cocker X. She is Liver with a White chest. Betty has become anxious and snappy with other dogs and as she lives in the city she meets other dogs on every walk. Her owner is afraid to let her off the lead, although her husband does, sometimes. Her recall is good. Betty's behaviour towards other dogs changed when the new baby arrived. She is very loving with people and has been fine with the baby, so-far. Betty has not lived with a cat. She travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods. She likes to sleep under the stairs.

PEANUT

Peanut is a 4½ year old Cocker, who needs a new home as his owner has passed away. The owner's wife has health problems and feels that she cannot give Peanut the time and attention that he deserves. Peanut was very attached to her husband, who was around in the daytime. He has not lived with children or cats, but is good with visiting dogs. He pulls on the lead. His recall is good. He travels well in the car and can be left home alone for short periods.

MILLY

MILLY

Milly is about 8 years old and is a small, very cute Liver and White Springer Spaniel. She was brought into our vet to be put to sleep. She is very thin and has been used for breeding. Milly is a very friendly dog and is used to other dogs. She is good on the lead and travels well in the car. Milly is having some dental work carried out and will be spayed. She will initially need three meals a day. This lovely dog is urgently looking for a loving home.

LULU (was Ruby)

LULU (was Ruby)

Ruby is an 11 month old Red working type Cocker. She was bought by a lady who wanted a companion in her retirement. However, Ruby is showing aggression towards her. When other people show authority Ruby will listen and obey but she ignores her owner. Ruby is good with other dogs but has not met children or cats. She loves long walks and is good on the lead, but her recall needs training. She is not used to being left home alone very much, but travels well in the car.
