Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month

DIZZY (was Dusty)

DIZZY (was Dusty)

Dusty is a 15 month old Blue Roan show type Cocker. She was bought as a pup by her present owners to be company for their other Cocker - a female show type as they worked long hours. They didn't realise how much exercise she would need. They are now expecting a baby and haven't the time. Dusty also suffers from separation anxiety and can have accidents when left home alone for long periods. She loves the other Cocker, but the feeling is not mutual. She is used to children and good with other dogs. She has not lived with a cat. She is excited when first put on the lead and makes a yelping noise. She is quite good and doesn't pull too much. Dusty's recall is good and she loves fetching balls. She travels well in the car.

OLLIE

OLLIE

Ollie is an 11 month old Orange Roan working type Cocker. He is an extremely hyper-active dog who needs to live in a rural environment. His owner now needs to work longer hours. He is good with other dogs but has not lived with a cat. He hasn't had any contact with children, but could knock over very young ones. He pulls a lot on the lead. His recall is good. He understands the command "Lead on". He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

CHARLIE

CHARLIE

Charlie is a 5 year old Blue Roan working type cocker. His owner's work hours have increased and Charlie is on his own for very long hours. He has started to bark and to become destructive. He loves human and canine company. Charlie is used to children of all ages. He is good with other dogs and has lived with a cat. He is quite good on a halti lead and he normally comes back if off lead. A treat will help with his recall. Charlie travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.

GYPSY

GYPSY

Gypsy is a 6 year old Black working type Cocker. She needs a new home as her owner is now working away from home. Gypsy is a lovely natured dog, who is good with other dogs, but has not lived with a cat. She hasn't had much contact with children. She is good on and off the lead. Some of her commands were whistle trained in the past. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods. Gypsy will be groomed prior to rehoming.

MILLIE

MILLIE

Millie is a 13 year old Tri-colour Springer x Collie. She needs a new home as her owners have the opportunity to move abroad and it wouldn't be fair to take Millie with them. Millie is looking for a permanent loving foster home. She has already had the upset of loosing her litter sister. She is still very active for her age. She just needs medication for a little incontinence - the medication controls it well. Millie is good with other dogs and has lived with a cat. She is not too keen on very young children. She walks well on a lead and her recall is good - although she needs calling a few times before deciding to come back! She travels OK on short journeys, but has been travel-sick in the past on a long journey. She does not like being left home alone for more than an hour or so.

SAM

SAM

Sam is a 10 month old Liver and White Springer. He needs a new home as he is too lively and too much to cope with alongside two young children. He needs more space, more exercise and stimulation. Sam is used to children, but will knock over young ones. He has lived with a cat. He is used to other dogs, but tends to want to be top dog. He pulls on a lead, but is better on a harness. His recall training has been started and he is already quite good. Sam is house trained and understands basic commands. He travels well in the car and can be left just for short periods.

MONTY

MONTY

Monty is a 12 year old Black working type Cocker with a little White on his face. His owners have moved to Hong Kong. Their neighbours have been looking after Monty, but they both have been unwell and can't cope any more. Monty has a few fatty lumps and has recently become deaf. He is always looking for food, so any food on work-tops has to be well out of his reach! He has not lived with children or cats, but is sociable with other dogs. He usually walks well to heel when on the lead and his recall was excellent before he became deaf. He travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.

SASHA

SASHA

Sasha is a 4 year old Liver and White Springer. She needs a new home due to a change in family circumstances. Sasha is used to children. She is good with other dogs but has not lived with a cat. She likes to dig holes in the garden! She pulls on the lead at the start of a walk, but does calm down. Her recall is normally very good. She travels well in the car and can be left for short periods.
