Spaniels that have found their new forever homes during this month
Fudge is a 6 1/2 year old ginger working type cocker. He needs a new home as the neighbours are complaining of his barking when he is left home alone. He is never left more than a couple of hours. Fudge is used to children of all ages. He hasn't lived with a cat or with another dog but he is friendly towards other dogs when on walks. He sleeps in the hall on a piece of carpet as he can still chew bedding but he will try and get upstairs to sleep on the bed. He pulls initially when on the lead but walks well along side a buggy. He is good when off lead especially if you have treats in your pocket. He travels well but can get restless on a long journey.
Fudge has returned to CAESSR having been rehomed with two other younger cockers for company. However, he seems to be a "loner" and doesn't play with the other dogs. Fudge would suit an older couple who don't need to leave him home alone or he would suit someone who needs a companion dog for an older spaniel.
Buddy is almost 4 years old and is a golden working type cocker. His owners rescued him from a young couple who had a baby and then were both working full time. His owners didn't realise how much excerise he needs and they also work long hours and don't have time for Buddy. Buddy hasn't had much contact with children. His is good with other dogs but has no cat experience. He pulls a bit on the lead. He has good recall and travels well in the car. He can be left for short periods. If he gets bored he will tear up magazines and papers!
Marsh is a 9 year old liver & white springer. He needs a new home as he has become very demanding for attention since the family have had their two young sons. Marsh is very good with the boys but chews their toys and howls when his owners play with the children. He is a lively friendly dog who demands lots of fuss and attention. He is very active for his age and likes to be out and about. He is good when off lead unless distracted and he is fairly good on the lead and understands "heel". He has lived with a cat since a puppy. He is good with other dogs and goes out a couple of times a week with a dog walker. He had a cruciate ligament operation a couple of years ago. All is OK now. He travels well in the car. He can be left just for short periods - two hours max. He doesn't really like being home alone.
