Charlie GBNF

I’m writing this message with tears running down my cheeks and a massive lump in my throat, sadly giving you our devastating news that our amazing, funny, loving, gorgeous Charlie (Boo) has crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 . He was THE BEST dog/friend ever and we as a family (and extended family and friends) are heartbroken 💔. Everybody loved Charlie.

He was the ripe old age of 14 and the vet said it was credit to us that he was still so physically fit but sadly doggy dementia got hold and he was now frightened a lot of the time. We made his last day as special as we possibly could. He was hand fed chicken breast for breakfast, had his favourite walk on Heysham Barrows with his best little pal Lexi. The sea was in and the waves crashed against the cliffs, then he, as usual, pulled us into his favourite pub. He was tired and as hard as this has been the vet said we had made the right decision for Charlie. We have cried not rivers but oceans and we all love him so much!

I end by thanking you all so much for giving us the opportunity of rescuing our amazing dog and for the fabulous, happy and many funny, wonderful memories you and Charlie have given us all. He was such a character. He is at peace now and will never be forgotten!! We know he had a great life with us by the seaside and Lake District along with many holidays and we take comfort in that.

Thank you,

Justine, David, Ryan, Zoe & Charlie xxxxx.
