Dear Diana,
Sadly we must inform you that Jasper died last Friday evening .He had been a bit under the weather since lunch time and we thought that we may need to go to the vet the following day, however we went out for a short time in the evening and when we returned he was dead.
We had been on holiday in Wales during the week and Jasper enjoyed playing on the beech — I hope that the enclosed photograph taken two days before he died conveys this.
When he came to us we took him to the vet who told us that he had a heart murmur and our new vet confirmed this just before we went away and was talking about ECG etc on our return, unfortunately we were not in time.
He has given us much joy over the last two and a half years — certainly the most gentle dog we have ever had. We hope that we also hope that he felt wanted and loved over the same period.
